What, do you guys honestly have zero faith in Sakura or something? Do you honestly believe that Sakura would walk down the isle with Sasuke after all that's happened in the manga?!

 

 

The only good thing about this chapter was Sakura in short shorts

kitten move for Kishi to have a cover that trumps the NS one right after an SS moment

Dunno why people are making a big deal out of Sakura blushing this time. Where was this concern during 632 at this point in time Sasuke was thought of to be a good guy

 

Except she didn't think he was a good guy, which was revealed not long after 632:

 

She also addresses him about his true intentions about four chapters ago, right before he called her useless.

I wont argue that kishi is an a**hole for doing this though (seriously i was anxious all week for the SS moment to be forgotten and then he goes and pulls this kitten)

I can't take Kishi seriously if he can't be bother to show Sakura actually progressing with her feelings. If Kishi is incapable of putting his words into action then I won't let myself have any expectations about the future from now on.

 

Kishi can allude with parallels, foreshadowing and comments all he wants, but it's not going to have much worth if he just makes Sakura go the opposite way of it.

 

Except Kishimoto has shown Sakura progressing her feelings, people just can't seem tosee it in the actual story because they're too distracted by the cover art.

 

 

By the way, Sakura still has dirt on her face. If you were to say 632 was a blush, then you would have to consider the third panel above a a blush as well.
 

Sorry to say it but... you cannot actually say covers mean nothing. Look at the last cover ... A short respite from an arduous journey which was the cover before they got to Kaguya's world. The design of the cover was a short description of what was about to come: Team 7 going to Kaguya's dimensions, Sakura holding onto Naruto pointing towards the castle which in manga was traduced as Sakura working together with Naruto to get Sasuke back, Sasuke was far-away looking at his bow like he was out of the picture which in the manga was traduced as Sasuke being thrown off in the separate dimension and Kakashi in the back just standing there doing nothing which represented in the manga as he currently was: uncapable of helping in any way.

So covers DO tell something and I'm sorry to say it but the truth here is that Kishi is screwing-up his own writing. And all for what? For ship tease and all that kitten?

Why couldn't have he made Sakura stay on a separate horse like the others? I am not bothered by his drawing per se, I am bothered by its representation and the way he is contradicting his own manga and ruining some development and its image.
How the hell can you tell me that, as a new reader, you're supposed to pick-up that Sakura has no feelings for Sasuke when he draws her blushing? Come on, let's not try to find the man excuses anymore. In the end, in this whole pathetic war between fans, he does have its guilt. Things could've been made differently and we all know it.
And I would say more but... I think I'm gonna stop here because idk if people will really understand that this trespasses the innocent play with pairings, it's about consistency at this point. It all kittening went downhill after Pein Arc. But meh, I digress...

 

Or maybe Sakura was on Sasuke's horse because, following the last chapter, he caught her before she fell onto the ground? Just a thought.

 

 

Yeah i think you're reading to much into it. I mean honestly if we are to take your logic of covers having foreshadowing elements that will happen in the manga then it would appear Team 7 is gonna be in an AU where they're riding horses, wearing cowboy hats and firing revolvers. Sorry but i can't see that happening in the manga. This is just Kishi having some fun with his characters and giving some fan service to SS fans. Yeah he's teasing us. He's fully aware of the pairing wars and is exploiting that.

 

Honestly i would understand the commotion if Sakura blushed when she was held by Sasuke in the manga but this is a freaking cover art.

If he wanted to let Sakura regress as a character then why didn't he make her blush and fangirl over Sasuke when he catched her in the manga ?

Why ? Because he has no intention of doing so.

 

This. People are seriously acting like the cover image as if it's showing Sasuke and Sakura staring deeply into each other's eyes or kissing in the rain.

 

I can't help but feel like our fandom is the most insecure fandom of all the ships.

Well, that's nice of them.. maybe given the latest events with cloudnin and the hate they've gotten more light-hearted. It's bad that it took someone's tragedy to come to this.

As I've said, confidence in NS I still have, the development is there and cannot be topped no matter how you put it, its the back-and-forth that Kishi does that makes me flip the table in regards to certain plot elements and their consistency.

I'm honestly not surprised, he's always doing this on purpose just to confuse the readers as much as possible. That's his way to "surprise" the readers, you may not like it, but he won't change.

Not because of the cover but because the second timeskip leaves very little room for anything other than open ending

No its not dirt they are two lines right under her eyes that appear when she notices Sasuke saved her and disappear afterwards Narutos jealousy reinforces this idea

Not only do I think Sakura would walk down the isle with Sasuke (especielly with Kishis portrayal of every female in the series being a lovesick fangirl) Im pretty sure Kishi would walk down the isle and marry Sasuke if it was at all possible

I really do have problems with how kishi potrayed her in the cover like as if all of her developement never happened. With the sakura whho is potrayed in the cover I have to admit that sakura might accept sasuke's apologizes once he comes back to konoha due to his horrible past, like naruto did and keep on really loving him. Though that would be awful writing.

I genuinely don't want to have any expectations with Kishimoto. If it happens it happens.

 

Just to be clear I don't believe that NH/SS have any chance. The only threat to NS is an open ending were Sakura's feelings aren't resolved. The only thing the cover did was make me think whether or not an open ending was truly a possibility.

 

Maybe my disappointment is that I let myself have certain expectations of how Kishimoto would do things. Today's cover let me know that I should learn to just go with Kishi's flow and wait for something to change.

 

From what I gather Sakura must be portrayed as being infatuated with Sasuke until Kishi decides to make it otherwise, as annoying as that might be. I guess it's the same as Sasuke being in darkness, it's going to be a thing until it isn't.

Look how worried she is for Naruto there but when Sasuke was taken away she wasn't panicking or worrying about him

This sort of tense atmosphere in this website is new to me  Quite frankly I never expected a Coverpage ,of all things, would cause so much unsettling.

Ahh I'm trying to find possibilities of how kishi could make ss canon but...there are each times obstacles which hinder that they'll acutally end up. Like I'm really trying to think of ways but it would not make any sense. So we're all pretty safe in this aspect. He'd have to screw up the sense in his writing to make ss canon. Also there are still inevitable ns moments yet to come!! Like the forehead scene or narutos confession or the direct obirin parallel and all those mentioned hints coming up. The endgame is usually kept waiting until the very last chapters where they become canon. For ns to become canon it would only need a page of a chapter and it'd make perfect sense on the other hand ss and nh would've need a lot of developement to become just potential partners.

No, I haven't lost faith in NS, I said this multiple times. My pet-peeve is with how Kishi chooses to screw with NaruSaku's image, that's all. As well with Sakura's image, because as I said multiple times, before being a fan of NS I am a fan of Sakura.
So let's take this on turns: Sakura is the heroine of this manga, right? Then why have her shown just riding on the back while the others do the action? When was the last time we had a cool cover with her showing some cool action, like it happens when it comes to Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi? No, she's just there to be pretty eyes, sometimes damsel in distress. Why not have her riding her own horse and shooting motherf***ing ninjas or whatever, like the others? What's she's not deemable? All that it is to her is a background? Does she need rescue all the time? Why it has to be always at Sakura's expense? And we wonder ourselves why 99.99% of this fandom considers her useless.
 
Moving onto NaruSaku: yes, we have all that development, not negating it. Beautiful, indeed, however, it has to be all under the "underneath the underneath", all subtle while with the others it has to be with romantic insinuations that aren't that hard to pick. Now tell me, as a new reader and as a child-teenage boy or girl, how can you tell that NaruSaku is gonna be the end game when it was all done like this? In a complicated way. Why can't their moments be slightly more simpler to understand? Or even hint. I am not saying he has to unravel all, but make the hints easier to perceive, especially if you're planning to make that pairing canon. I mean, the other fandoms, non-shippers even, always say that NaruSaku's moments don't seem romantic. They do recognize Sakura's faith and devotion with Naruto but you see, in the romantic department it's rarely you'll have a positive reaction, so to speak, if it isn't downright in their faces. And we wonder ourselves why the others brand it as just "friendship" moments. Well, there you have it.
I know Kishi portrays the mature type of love when it comes to NaruSaku, but you see, his target audience isn't that mature. If you want to make it credible, make it at their own level. Make it believable. Donțt just jump off the gun. Look at Sakura's confession, now after so many years. Even if Kishi said he felt he was portraying an honest girl, did someone gave a kitten, excuse my language? No. Why? It's not that hard to understand why, when he portrays her the way he does. He makes her confess to Naruto and then have Sai saying she's killing Sasuke out of love. The target audience isn't at the level to be able to distinguish between the real, mature love and the less mature love, the "facet" love.
Meh, dunno if I make any sense, I did have lots of no sleep and I might be hard to express myself, but I hope you guys understood. I am planning on writing a new post soon anyway, trying to explain myself better.
 
 
Exactly, this manga is first and foremost a visual medium, people will perceive what they see and sorry to say it but the color images will always have a greater impact than black and white ones. And before people actually open the manga itself, the first that will have an impact on the reader is the cover art int he beginning.
Maybe I'm this way because I've been in this media business for quite sometime now...Sometimes a bliss, sometimes a curse.
 
 
I am as well but I can't really blame them either... It's hard not to do so when the author itself is joggling with these stuff. 
Like I said, my problem is not with the cover itself, it's with the depiction of the cover.  But meh, I better shut up... People are already down, me rambling about it won't help that much...

Alright thats it im leaving the discouragement from senior members ad Kishi kittening on NS or two weeks in a row is far more than I can bear

See you guys later Ill return after a while since we clearly goi.g to have an NS moment for a while despite the massive step backwards these past two weeks have been, I try to be positive and patient but Kishi basically said "be patient" then followed it up with a "kitten you"

Clearly I was asking too much with the requests that 1) a pairing must happen 2) if its NS Naruto cant be a silver medal

Even if NS does happen the whole moral itself is pretty discouraging "never give up and one day your true love will fall for someone else, dont worry though you still have shot of being there ilver mefal so much as the other guy convinirntlyturns into a homicidal murderous psychopath for a limited time" stellar lesson there

Anyway im done ill be back after a while when things hopefully calm down and I can be encouraged here rather than discouraged

Sakura was with Sasuke on this coverpage because it made sense in the context of the last chapter (where she was caught by him). But frankly, she wasn't concerned about him in this chapter at all. They didn't even talk to each other.
