As I said, when it comes to serious stuff, it's NaruSaku. When people just wanna take money of out it, they can toy with pairings. But the serious deal is NaruSaku.

I can't believe that people here are still talking about whether or not SS and NH are popular / dead / shut down / might be a threat, etc., etc., etc., etc.

 

Neither SS nor NH have ever been alive.  In each case, one side of the pairing has had ZERO romantic feelings for the other person.  By definition there is no relationship there beyond ninja collaboration and maybe -- maybe -- friendship.  How can there be a need to shut down something that was never started up?

 

To further solidify the "zero romantic feelings" on the part of the boys toward the girls in those pairings, Kishimoto has consistently and unwaveringly shown WHY the boys will NEVER have the heartfelt feelings necessary to be in a romantic relationship with the girl.

 

Kishimoto has shown us that Sasuke is not interested in Sakura as a girlfriend, and that his personality, interests, goals, and methods are in direct contrast to how Sakura would live her life.  Even if Sasuke is to be redeemed in the greater sense -- shaken from his hateful goals of revenge, murder, control, and self-interest -- he will always be a mismatch for Sakura personality-wise.

 

Likewise, Kishimoto has shown us that Naruto is not interested in Hinata as a girlfriend. This is true not only because Naruto is not attracted to Hinata's personality in that way.  The insurmountable barrier to NH is Naruto's profound and unshakable love for Sakura.

 

It should be thought of in magician's terms.  SS and NH have been what would be called a "plausible diversion" -- although the plausibility is strained and arguable.  The point has been to use them to distract the audience from the mechanics of the "trick" Kishimoto is performing.  The trick of transforming Sakura's feelings for Naruto into undying, true, romantic love.

 

Since a manga isn't performed as quickly as a magician's sleight of hand, readers have time to become enamored with the hollow distractions and begin to believe they are the point of the story, rather than the setup for the real payoff.

 

There's no point in worrying about what other shippers think or say.  It's a waste of time.  They will never admit they're wrong -- even once they have been proven entirely wrong by Kishimoto.  They have just as much opportunity to understand that they're being fooled as we do, but they choose not to view the construction of the story with logic.

 

When the "trick" is accomplished -- the complete transformation of Sakura's love -- it will expose rather obviously that the plausible diversions were just that -- diversions -- and never meant anything material to the main love story.

Absolutely.  I've bought several items of Naruto merchandise over the years, and Hinata is never even an option.  The only thing she has ever appeared on is the monthly calendar, but just with her team.

 

Anyone with the even the slightest ability to be objective understands that it's NS.  It cannot be otherwise.

Point is NH has absolutely NO development making it highly unlikely to happen. As for SS the development it has its nothing but negative and wrong, Kishi is telling the reader something "this pairing will never happen".

lol. I've actually been saying this for years now. Whenever there is a Naruto advertisment for anything it is always Naruto and Sakura or Team 7. Even during Team 7 adverts Sasuke is seen at a distance away from Naruto and Sakura. Very rarely will you see a Hinata in there or someone else. For the coupling, NH, that many people say is so important and is so amazing, it hardly gets any advertisement.

Hell, Shonen Jump swimsuit issue shows Sakura and not Hinata on the cover. Naruto on the male version and no Sasuke.

I wouldn't use other media as proof that NaruSaku has a higher chance than the other two. I imagine that a part of the focus is also because Naruto and Sakura are the main hero and heroine, therefore representatives of the manga itself. Not that you can't enjoy the fan service. I definitely liked the OVA that came out in 2010/2011.

 By "real deal" you mean it gets fanservice that seems official, right? Like the movies, OVAs, etc. Why do you think that is? Because they recognize NaruSaku as the end-game pairing. It's basically the same concept. Judging whether outside media looks at NS as the end pairing on the basis of the scale of fan service given. While very nice, doesn't really discredit other pairings. Only the manga can do that. And I believe it will.

Its not simple fanservcie from what I heard Kishi was in fact involved with that OVA and judging from how the story is going that pretty much looks like where this story is headed.

I think this whole stuff is bs.
The blood donation campaing wasnt even that big and it's mostly showing Sakura as a nurse which is what she basically does and Naruto the MC, there's no pairing adverstizement whatesover, unless if you thought he would put Hinata which can use Mystical Palm Technique on the Anime-side of the story.
Also about anime, even if you bring "hope" which i didnt watch since i dont watch anime, there's ending like the one who shows Naruto and Sasuke fighting with Hinata and Sakura worrying on the background which was bs.
