What we got. It established the slowly death of Naruto as well as how to keep Hinata away from NS. It's like God just smite Hinata from getting near. Plus she had a closure there, so she can only pray. Now, it's all out Naruto and Sakura. No distraction, no glory hog, hell, if you remember that anime filler where Hinata pass Sakura just to say it first, no that either.I wonder - what would you guys have preferred? Hinata not being present in the chapter at all, or what we got?

I am so late to the party.....is there anymore cookies?
I barely come to site nowadays (university sucks), but when I saw this chapter.
"Who needs grades?? NARUSAKU!!!"
I felt bad Hinata though (you guys are sooo mean), but I think her tripping was a metaphor of the naruhina idea crashing down if it hasn't already
SK? Sure I'm down with that.
Oh man, when she finds out he got his kyuubi extracted, she's gonna lose it!!

Now that I thought about it even more.... this could set up the final pairing here or at least make it more obvious. Of coarse I hope it goes our way XD. What could I possibly mean though, we here we go with Sakura's choice. If Naruto is not healed by the time they reach where Sasuke is, it's up to Sakura to make a choice: Naruto is basically in a state where he's practically dead where all Sasuke needs is medical attention to become active again.... Who do you choose. I mean part 1 Sakura would easily take the easier route because it's also the Sasuke route, but now her option is tougher do to actually coming to know Naruto really well. If it plays out this way and I think it will, then my gut is telling me she'll still try everything in her power to revive Naruto despite Sasuke's presence, unless an asspull happens where healing Sasuke leads both of them to helping Naruto (cause of the whole Team 7 stuff) in which case could very well happen just to continue this love triangle kitten.

Her appearance here strikes me as unnecessary, especially if she is supposedly "just a side character". It feels perhaps a bit fan service-y, like a reminder that she's still there, and I don't know why some are saying she had closure here. I didn't see any closure. Granted, I'm not saying it's any kind of hint or foreshadowing of something to come, I don't think it is, but it still shows Kishi setting her apart from the other rookies, for whatever reason.

Yup, I must post the obvious or most talked about stuff evah!!! XD While else ignore it.
I really need to sign up on tumblr (I have so many accounts on just about a lot of things now though) cause this quote is hilarious
"People who kill off the main character are trash
But people who kill the two main characters are even worse than trash"

Oh man...this chapter was amazing!! I have to agree with everyone else, the Hinata part wasn't really needed...but if it really is for her closure, then perhaps it is. Either way, I confess, I literally laughed out loud like an idiot when she tripped and fell flat on her face. There is nothing Hinata can do for Naruto and I guess Kishi was trying to show that. He had to get her out of the way. Make way for the canon pairing; NaruSaku!
I admit, I am a fairly big SasuKarin shipper, (not as much as NaruSaku, but that's neither here or there) so that last page was just delightful!! I want to say that, that page confirmed NaruSaku-SasuKarin and I kind of feel that way, but I can't say it for certain.
We all saw how Sakura reacted to the idea of Naruto getting killed by losing Kurama in early Part 2. She was crying. And now that it's close to reality...once she finds out...hoo boy. She's already starting to lose her cool, but I think once she hears that, she'll certainly lose it.
There are three ways for Sakura to come to realize her true feelings. Which we all know are there.
1. She carefully thinks it out over time.
2. A desperate situation calls for it.
3. Sudden, out of the blue, realization.
Thinking it over, over time hasn't been looking like the most likely. There was all of part 2 and she still hasn't quite figured it out.
Right now, there is a perfect set up for the second way. Sakura is most likely going to lose it once she realizes his real condition. A lot of people don't realize what they have or how they feel until something is gone or is being taken away from them. And when it's a very real threat.
And just like what everyone else has said, Naruto and Sakura are alone. Even though Gaara is there, Naruto and Sakura are in a situation where no one else can reach them. The set up is perfect.
Number 3...well...it's possible if we don't have a realization with this current situation. But I dunno. It would feel kinda poorly done.
Anyways, those are just my thoughts.
I can't believe Kishi is taking ANOTHER WEEK off, and with this kind of cliffhanger?? Torture!!
It's not as bad as the 3 week NaruHina cliffhanger...but still...!
I look forward to seeing how Naruto is rescued. There better be much NaruSaku! AndSasuKarin
Also, a lot of people have been wondering if Sakura would use Chiyo's technique. Honestly, I really hope not. I'm okay with Sakura not being the one to save Naruto's life. Just her being there and doing everything she can to try and do so is enough for me.
Chiyo's technique would mean Sakura's death or her life being shortened. Neither of which I want to happen.
But Kurama told Gaara something, didn't he? Maybe a way to save Naruto. Gaara definitely seems to know of a way to save Naruto's life. Or else he wouldn't be desperately rushing like that. The question is; how? Maybe it is sealing the second half of Kurama in him? Maybe it's something completely off our radar? I guess we'll have to wait two weeks.
If it is sealing the second half in him, then that could mean Minato and Sakura interaction. Plus Obito. A parallel of ObiRin could be made.
Which would be awesome!

Frankly, I agree with that post. It is a double standard that Hinata would be called weak and useless for falling on her face but when Naruto does it no one holds it against him. It's another example of the poor treatment female characters get from the fandom. What, did you expect me to laugh at it? Is this really any different than when we defend Sakura's actions? They have just as much right to defend Hinata as we do Sakura.

I think the user failed to realize those were two very different situations
Naruto was (by himself I believe) looking for his best friend. There was nothing else important going on during that time and his teammates were elsewhere looking as well.
Hinata, having to continue her blind obsession of Naruto, ditched her own teammates to just stand over his body, because she can't do anything to help him anyway. This during the middle of a war to protect said person.

I don't see how they're all that different. In both cases Naruto had Hinata were desperate and on the verge of exhaustion, it seems like a solid enough comparison for the point they were trying to make. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean.

Sorry, I had to edit my post to make my point ^^;
Basically no one was dying or getting hurt in Naruto's situation, they're in the middle of a War in Hinata's case.

Ah, okay, now I see what you mean. I definitely don't think Hinata should have been running out there like she did, and I'm not defending her there. I just don't think she should be bashed for falling because of it.
