From my standpoint, I can see obito breaking very soon. We know that he is the strongest but we know he is vulnerable now thanks to kakashi. This is why I can actually imagine him breaking or giving naruto a window to answer to obito's doubts. However, madara will then use that as his window and opportunity to get that genjutsu world that he wants. Kakashi could very well be there to see obito's breakdown to tnj so I'm not worried about that. I definitely think the attack will hit, that's just my take on it, but I don't think the effects will be very physical from now on. This attack will not stop obito, but it will make it into more of a mental game than a physical one. It's not the final attack for sure.

Yeah, well I did address more in the above post. The above post could happen, but we'll see. In a way, I still see Madara going down Star Wars episode 6 style.

Well, they are dealing with a god, though one did connect back when Naruto did Sage Mode first time. I do think the attack could damage him but not enough. At this rate, defeating him seems "impossible". Pretty much, it feels like he got to make him submit to win the war. Though Kishi could pull a Fairy Tail with Naruto having one "once in a lifetime" power up against Obito that they will become evenly matched. In Fairy Tail, Natsu ate something from the government and granted him a huge power-up to match one villain who was like too powerful at the time, so it granted him to be equally matched. Obito is too strong to the point that I think even in the final fight with Naruto vs. Sasuke, they won't match to Obito. After all, they did somewhat foreshadowed Bijuus being with Naruto, so we'll see.

You know, part of me wants them knocked down, only for Naruto to continue to fight as Sasuke is like, "Dammit, I got to get up." I mean we were in line of Sasuke being upset at Naruto, so why not continue after the next attack. That's just me but I think it will leave a strong impression on Sasuke really being upset at Naruto. Just think of Gaara's fight and you'll know what I mean.

I'm not going to lie, but if something like that were to happen, I'd be a bit disappointed and underwhelmed. I want to see Naruto defeat Obito though the power of will and determination as he has always done in the past, even against Pein, rather than though sheer physical power. That's one of the big things I love about Naruto, and a can't help but feel he has lost that with all these powerups. Yeah, he's up against a 'god' but hey, Ed defeated a supposed 'god', with just his fists.

That is true. I'm just throwing possibilities. But really, Obito does seem like a villain who can't die unless it takes itself own life. Then again, the fact you brought up that moment made me remember how I wish for Sakura to do something sacrificial to Naruto and he wakes up, only to find out that Sakura is now dead. He goes enraged and just throw everything at Obito and pretty much annihilating him. Sasuke will be too shocked to see this and can't believe Naruto still pulls out so much power with little life in him. But unfortunately, no one here wants her dead, though neither do I, so this is one people wants to pass, even though the badass level would skyrocket tremendously. I mean Obito can recover like Cell, so why not go all Rated R on him by throwing something that looks like face got cut in half. A man can dream...

Haha. Now there's an idea I like. Except I really, really don't want Sakura to end up looking like some damsel or actually dying, we'll see how it goes though.

Now I didn't say all the setup that leads her there, I'm only giving the plot point. Plus, it does help to reinforce Chiyo's final words. After all, it's been proven that Kishi does remember and flashback to these points to make the scene more effective, like how Naruto would like his element to combine Sasuke and make it stronger.

Oh, I know. It's just a concern I have, it all depends on Kishimoto's execution, and he can certainly do it in a way that shows Sakura as brave and self-sacrificing; chivalrous as Chiyo said, rather than a helpless girl needing to be saved. I just hope he takes care to do it right, should he choose to go that direction.

@Strangelove

About Karin, I still think she will betray Sasuke at the end. I believe Kishi is trying to fool us, with her personality. Unless of course he is truly what people are saying...sexist. But I will hold back my judgement.

Hmmm...

Karin : "I just wanted to see that face once more"

That's what she said about Sasuke before she was going to die. I can't feel any hatred in what she said. Yet, it was him who betrayed her, it was him who hurted her with Chidori, and... it was him who was going to kill her. And yet, she can't stop thinking about that smiling face of Sasuke, back than.

What will Karin do in the futur?

I know that that story Suigetsu told us before will have something to do with Sasuke/Karin's build up.

We don't know anything yet about Karin and Sasuke relashionship in the past. Kabuto says that Sasuke knows her very well, Obito says that she's his favorite.

I hope we will get answers soon.

No, but her bodylanguage at their reunion is meant to be interpreted as angry. She probably feels a lot about the betrayal, but I do think anger is one of them.

Any person with a even an ounce of self-respect would feel anger and betrayal if in Karin's position, she should be angry, it doesn't mean she can't forgive him, but Sasuke shouldn't be allowed to think that he can say 'I'm sorry' (no matter how sincere he may have been) and think it's all okay. I hope Kishi won't just brush these things under the rug with Karin, but with the way he's been treating her, I'm not so sure.

Can someone in the Narutoverse compensate for any injuries or damages inflicted on another person? I wonder if you couldn't potentially "pay off" a village or nation so they don't come after you. In spite of Naruto's preachings, the shinobi profession is as much an economic system as it is a philosophical way of life. Completing missions that are provided by clients is how a village generates revenue to keep themselves afloat. Money is also a very significant aspect that allows its population to survive.

It makes me wonder if Sasuke couldn't amend his relationship with Konoha by offering a large sum of money to pay off his crimes. And what about Karin? Couldn't he just give compensation for the injuries he inflicted on her and be on his way?

I think they cant because there are millionaire bounties on those criminals aswell particularly from Saske-kun rank.

Hm, funny but I went to see a thread and never noticed that Obito always got this and never stopped by whatever happens. Like "Alliance no Jutsu!" then, "Well, they're dying!" Then you got "Me and dad got this!", only to go "My chakra!!!" So that said it really sounds like this attack might fail but let's see what happens. Personally, I want Obito to go down as a "Not stopping! Not yet!" rather than "Well, this sucks..." Maybe that's why I like it because it feels like a villain with a hero persona traits, mainly not stopping when it feels like it's game over. We'll see.

I have to agree with BakaNeko-Chan on Karin. What I always liked about her was that she was never afraid to speak her mind or punish someone for something; she seemed to have a strong personality, and I liked that.  I thought she would be the last person to forgive Sasuke, but instead we have her kissing up to him more than Sakura has in forever. It's just not right, no matter her background. Sasuke doesn't deserve to be forgiven that easily and you'd think Karin would hold it against him. But no, no it's just one sorry and everything's dandy.

Ugh, that's literally the main reason right now that makes me dislike SasuKarin. :glare:

I know what you mean. I just wonder if it's one way to say, "There, your pairing is alive and most likely I will close it with them maybe, I don't know. I'm Kishi!" I mean this one, regardless of what happened, is in "fair" shape as none of them are making it look bad. Sakura is really getting worked on on feeling extreme doubt of her and Sasuke. Heck, it's happening when Naruto is not around and usually, this would mean she will decide without the help of Naruto, so that's something to look forward.
