Shouldn't Killer Bee have been restored to full strength as well if Sakura is actually healing everyone on the battlefield? If he is capable of fighting once again then he should be accompanying the others into the barrier in order to attack the Jubi. With the exclusion of Naruto and Sasuke he is the most powerful adversary that Akatsuki has to contend with presently. I understand that Kishi was making it an effort to reinforce the Sannin parallel and emphasize the temporary reconstitution of Team 7's original dynamics with this chapter but from a practical standpoint having Gyuki available to obliterate as many of the replicas as possible or the Jubi itself with a Bijudama would have helped enormously. Even if Gyuki was unavailable to assist Killer Bee is far more powerful and experienced on the battlefield than the rookies.

 

Now that it's brought up, where exactly are Guy, Mifune, Kitsuchi, Darui, Temari, Hiashi, and the various other notable Jonin or Kage tier shinobi? Each of them possess abilities that would be far more effective in destroying the replicas. Guy's activation of the gates could have obliterated quite a few of them. Mifune's in-depth mastery of Iado could have been used to prevent the replicas from injuring any of the shinobi. The others mentioned also would be capable of handling their own against quite a few of the replicas by themselves. It's a more preferable option than having the likes of Hinata rush forward into battle when she is far less experienced and capable than her father.

Will comment on Sakura being absolutely amazing. She STILL has not released the seal. No markings on her face. And now she is doing Tsunades healing jutsu with Katsuya and doing it with no side effects.

 

Sakura has become what I always knew she had the potential to be a truly powerful shinobi of epic proportions.

I think it's because Kishi wanted the rookie groups to shine. The past few chapters, to me, I had a good feeling with all of them growing up, and that Sasuke joining team 7 again in battle was like a dream. All around good feeling. But I think the last pages were more of like a "snap back" into reality. Sakura's momentary happiness sort of reflects it. She's crying because she's really happy about Sasuke and Naruto working together, but at the end of the chapter it's all gone. I feel as if her change in attitude shows that once again the battle ground is changing once again. They soon will need stronger people

 

The stronger ninja have to come back into the spotlight. I see the Kages coming back into action pretty soon with the Tsunade/Oro switch scene. Team Gai? Where are they?  I guess the death of Neji took a real hit in them but Gai/Rocklee would have been the first ones rushing into battle 10tail clones to me. I need to see more Temari too.

 

And, what is making Gamabunta so busy??

Since I wrote it in NF, I think it's best I share it here.

 

 

I'm going to post a review soon in a video.

Here's how I see it. This is chapter 7 and the overjoy victory was displayed here. That means something is not right and in this case, there's always a twist to come after. Chapter 8 or 9 is known to be the breaking point of the volume. Take volume 64 for example, the breaking point is Naruto understanding about friends and ready to counter attack. Volume 65, Madara turns evil in the flashback and Hashirama kills him, ultimately fail to bring peace. Now, this volume is about Team 7 reunion, but what can break them apart? Sasuke.

Sakura was crying because of two most likely reasons:

1) The war or the main obstacle that has been killing many and have been putting too much pressure is finally over. Juubi is something that you must kill first before anything else. It's like in Mass Effect series, if you killed the reaper, the joy can finally happen. Or how in the Matrix trilogy, when Neo won the war for the people, people cry. It's something that we have been waiting for after so long.

2) She could be crying to see them working together and the fact the "brothers" are reunited to help each other is a touching moment to see.

Now, here's the problem starts to rise. Sasuke finally shows his true face with "Burn it down". Look at the previous chapters, noticed he always have a poker face. There's no Sasuke in him, just him talking. When that panel happened, his true color was exposed. When it comes to shades, it means darkness and/or madness. It's the same when Naruto confronted Nagato, telling him how much he wants to kill him. Not only that, but the next panel with Sasuke has his design in shades, metaphorically speaking that he's being shady.

The reason why it made sense to have Sai come late and be the one to notice is because he's Sai. Sai learns from ground-up on how people behaves with expressions and feelings, hence how he immediately can tell Sakura was feeling hurt back in last arc. That said when Sasuke said his line, Sai noticed right-a-way that Sasuke has something else in mind. If Sai shows up earlier, he will know right-a-way that Sasuke is bullcraping everyone. Remember, Kishi is known from holding back in order to not hurt the moment, much like Sakura knew that using Kyuubi's chakra for others hurt Naruto in the process. Lastly, Juugo answered, "Who knows." Ok, shouldn't he say, "To be Hokage" instead? That raised more questions than answers. That means there's something else. Red wedding!?!?! Nah, but won't that be a shocking twist.

Why would Kishi have Sakura summon Katsuyu instead of a new slug? Sasuke summoned a new snake and Naruto summoned Gamakichi so there's no way it didn't occur to him to have Sakura summon a new slug. It doesn't make sense either. Gamakichi's reason for appearing is that Gamabunta was busy. Well so was Katsuyu! And Katsuyu doesn't even mention Tsunade. Also, I hope Kishi doesn't revert Sakura back to healing fodders and expect that to be a passable contribution. He can't just have her show off for one chapter on the front lines and then back off for Naruto and Sasuke to shine as the dynamic duo. It's a contradiction to her well-made speech about fighting alongside them rather than staring at their backs. And it seems Kishi is still portraying Sasuke darkly. I noticed Sakura looking at him questionably at the end.

 i couldn't agree more, i don't doubt sakuras abilities and i think they are useful but it's nothing new- when it comes to sasuke and naruto kishi gave them more then just a copy- paste, naruto was able to combine wind element to the rasengan, sasuke improved upon the chidori and lightning technique etc. so i hope to see sakura use different jutsu or improve upon her masters own stuff (it's also a theme in naruto to surpass the old generation) 

 

having sakura being reduce to healing fodder again is just boring. i just find it far more entertaining watching sakura kick serious ass. 

 

as for sasuke, i think it's in his interest to stop the moon eye plan but i don't think he's 'good', he still harbors hatred. it more of a the enemy of my enemy is my friend sorta thing.... but without the friend part. it's more appropriate to say: a convenient alliance

Not that I think it's going to happen...but how awesome would it be to see Edo! Tsunade and Sakura duke it out?

Getting praise from her teacher's own lips would be just perfect...not to mention it could set the scene for some flashbacks and a power up >____> just saying.

It is possible this is just Kishi's break in the main action so he can focus on parts of the subplot. The Juubi is most definitely not beaten, as its little clones are still standing.

i see this thought is catching onto some people  It seems very possible since Oro has a water style ninja with him. It would be cool for Jiraya to see Naruto's growth and how far he has come.

You know, that's something that has been bothering me. Why Suigetsu went with Orochimaru and not join with Sasuke? Karin can be arguably about healing, BUT, did we forget that maybe it's just sensing chakra since she's known for that? I mean maybe she's only used to track Tsunade and that's it. It's a maybe. Think about it, why even go to Tsunade? And why Juugo joined Sasuke instead of following Orochimaru. This seriously raised many questions.

I know I know, I should sleep but one last note. Sai did hear what Sasuke said and the main problem is that Sasuke had a big panel to give you the right impression of his current character. What's smart is that the whole time since his arrival, he always have a poker face. We finally saw that Sasuke with all the shades, which is bad news. Not only that, but Sai picked it up because he experienced from ground-up about expressions and emotions, so he will know right-a-way, hence already know Sakura's motivation before going after Sasuke back in last arc. In other words, Sai knows he has a plan, but all of us don't know what is it. Juugo for a while knows something is up but I think it's smart for Sasuke not to tell him so Juugo could always play wondering with everyone else. That all said the fact we are seeing Orochimaru now suggests the plan is commencing. It won't be done, but him being at Tsunade's location already tells me that Sasuke's plan is about to begin. Lastly, there was a shade on his bad, metaphorically speaking that he's being very shady. So yeah, this is going to be very interesting.

Totally agree. Dark shades over the face represent malevolence. Something big is gonna happen. Like I and many other said before, the naruto va saauke fight has to be the biggest and baddest of them all. It has to have the highest stakes and the most op characters. Alil spar would just kill the whole build up. Junbi has to evolve once more. Obito foreshadowed the jinnchuriki thing and sasuke s potential involvement with gedo mazo. We all know that obito is also on the road to turning heel aswell. So sasuke is likely the next to take the mantle.

I feel that hashirama and madara will take care of each other, but sasuke will be the final "boss" in a sense. He's the very definition of an anti hero. He has good intentions but the ring way of going about them and he doesn't give a hoot about what others feel. He's most likely has some other plan up his sleeve that he wants to use to bring order an reform. Doesn't care about what he needs to do about it to achieve it either. Than u have the whole mental issue potentially playing a role in it too.

And I do feel that Sakura has an idea just like naruto that something isn't right.

I think maybe she summoned Katsuyu because it's logical her first summon is her master' summon, just like it was for Naruto and Sasuke back then. They both first summoned their masters' summons.

Or maybe she summoned Katsuyu because she's the only one slug that can do the remote healing.

But in a scenaristic way, it's logical that she summoned Katsuyu first. It's needed maybe to show she's at Tsunade's level and that she can fit in the new sannin. And again in a scenaristic way, it permit Kishi to add some praising from Tsunade's slug.

 

I'm sure she will have her own summon later, surely this pink slug Kishi drawn a long time ago on Sakura's shoulder.

 

Also, I agree with you, it would be really odd to let Sakura be in the background after she said all those things about fighting alongside Naruto //and Sasuke.//

I'm sure ( I hope Kishi will not stab us in the back here ) that Sakura will come back to fight in next chapter, because now everyone in the alliance is safe and sound with slugs attached to them.

But that brings a question : Will Sakura go to the battle without a slug, or will she summon another one ? If she would leave Katsuyu, would Katsuyu still be able to protect everyone ?

Maybe Sakura will call back the small slugs now and ask Katsuyu to be 'one' again. She wanted to heal shinobi, so maybe she will not protect them in the near future and she will take back all the slugs.

 

What do you think ?

 

I hope it's not another repeat of what happened during Pain's invasion of Konoha where Tsunade uses up all her strength to heal a bunch of fodders who end up just sitting around watching the fight. Sakura better call back the slugs and go fight. I'll have a fit if she sits it out just to heal fodders.

 

I can come up with two reasons.

 

1. The slug mountain only has 1 slug. And they're all Katsuyu's, because she can split herself anyways. XD

2. Gamabunta is busy and Manda is dead, but Katsuyu is available.

 

And I agree with you on the last part. Sakura doesn't need to be a part of the Sasuke/Naruto combo attacks, but she needs to do something significant of her own, I want her do do her own part as an individual. That's what I think she'll do!! :3

 

But shouldn't Katsuyu have been busy too since it was assisting Tsunade?
