To think, NS is now on the road to canon, rather than if it becomes one. You could argue if it becomes one by having nothing in canon. That said highly doubt it. Honestly, this did it for me and now, it is also possible that SS will end here as well. I do like the fact Sasuke is still his old self, arrogant. I like when they keep the same characteristics. He was like "Ok" to pretty much everything. Honestly, the only one that will be giving him a hard time is Karin, so I guess Kishi is slowly making it true. I wouldn't be surprise. It seems like NS is now inevitable. What I truly love is that Minato said "Take care of my son." He said after witnessing the comical scene, which was really funny, and he's like "If she's like Kushina, then that means she does love him. Naruto, you made mom proud." Why else he said that after happily staring at their interaction as well as thinking of Kushina. I am solid green and there's nothing to change it.

Kishimoto didn't kill Naruhina, he friggin' destroyed it. Minato warped that bijuudama straight towards that ship. I mean, I knew there would most likely be some form of interaction between NS and Minato, but I didn't think he'd be so blatant about it.

As for Byakugou vs Sage Mode, the more I look at it, the more I think Byakugou was created by Tsunade to be a quicker alternative to Sage Mode, more like an imitation. The only thing it does (as far as we know) is accelerated healing without hand seals, whereas Sage Mode affects all known abilities, increases strength, speed, endurance, reflex AND has accelerated healing (in Hashirama's case). Obviously, the only things stopping her from having that mode are her limited amount of chakra reserves, which is incredibly lame, and the timeframe. So Byakugou is more likely I think. Could be something entirely different from either of these two.

Also, Minato having KCM doesn't surprise me, wasn't he stuck inside the Shiki Fuijin's belly for over a decade? Plenty of time to learn that, right?

And I just have to say; poor Madara (http://mangastream.c...ruto/94426240/9). Just look at his face when Hashirama pushes him to the side. As if his brain can not process what's just been said.

In the last chapter Shikamaru was the one to react with a positive?"heh" to Sakura's words. And he was the one standing behind the tent when Sai told her about Naruto's feelings... I can be imagining things but it looks like Shikamaru's the one who saw right through her. He was all like "finally". And lol at his "Ino don't come near Sasuke".

THE GOOD:

Ach, Sasuke.... make up your mind for good? "I'm gonna destroy Danzo and the others! No, wait, I'm gonna destroy Konoha! Wait, no...I will BECOME Hokage!"

It's not really that scatterbrained. It all comes back to Itachi. He views have changed as he has been provided more information from and about his brother. As that has changed, so has his view point.

I do feel vindicated after all the complaints about good Sasuke. Madara is Sasuke's parallel and is probably the "bad" outcome of where he wants to go. I suspect that either his chosen path to accomplishing that goal (his fellow rookies are largely rejecting him right now) will force him into a position that requires him seizing the position by undersirable means (though Kishi won't let him go full blown Danzou) or that his direction for the village is something Naruto finds unacceptable (a good/bad end like Obito).

The flashback screamed that this is where it was going. Inferno mention their clash about being about Hokage. That might be what is at stake, but the clash will be more fundamental than just who holds that position. At least, I hope so. Otherwise, this will be a waste.

There really isn't that much I can add about the NaruSakuSasu development except, I was expecting Sasuke's return to happen in a way that would cause the fandom heartburn. I didn't think it mean as much as fans would make of it, but she was more...skeptical of his return than I expected. As for anything SasuSaku, it is, in my opinion, very hard to read anything pairing related from that reaction. That's not to say it has no meaning, but I'm really not sure what to take from it other to say she's still conflicted about him.

Also, one lesson I hope all fandoms take from this is that just because Kishimoto isn't constantly affirm someone feelings doesn't mean they have changed. If fact, the opposite appears to be true. I was slow in picking up on this myself, but Hinata's confession and 540 demonstrated this. Kishimoto has been bad about off screen development, but when it relates to pairiings I think there is very little of that. I think barring something on screen and fairly direct, you should assume that their feelings are where they were the last time Kishimoto had them speak of them.

I also agree with Shadow on Sakura's reaction being open to lots of interpretation. She looked irritated, but it's also a very typical Tsundere-type reaction when something like that is said and while Sakura is a very mild Tsundere she has shown elements of that character type.

My favorite part of the chapter was the last Panel. I feel a little dumb for abandoning my earlier prediction (this was a couple years ago) that Sasuke was going to help them against Madara. I knew that this was going to happen now, but I thought the same thing long ago and then ditched/ I thought, at the time, it would be the good deed Kishimoto would use to shore up his redemption. Seems I was not as off base as I thought I was.

THE BAD:

The Red Sun technique...? Can that be performed by one person (and its just stronger with four) or are all four required for it? I hope it's the former because the latter smells of a massive asspull.

The Four Hokages are doing what it was I was afraid they would do. I'm hoping the upcoming battles are more Team 7 and less Team Undead Hokage (and Hawk).

Team Not Seven is still around (not that I expected anything else, but they always disappoint). Dang.

I love how many people are calling this the worst chapter ever. No one complained when Ino and Hinata took control of Obito and the Juubi, no one complained when Ino linked minds with 300 people out of the blue, no one complained when Hinata deflected the Jubi's attack with Kyuubi chakra and no one complained when Tsunade revealed her Byakugou. But when it's revealed Sakura has some new jutsu everyone loses their kitten. This fanbase...

Nah.

Nothing beats the mass resurrection in terms if bad chapters.

As for me, I'm just waiting to see what the technique is before I decide if it's good or bad.

I F****** LOVED this chapter (as with everyone else here), what in this chapter would any NaruSaku fan not like?

For a long time I thought there was a good chance that the manga would end with no official pairing and just have it strongly implied, and now I no longer suffer from such delusions.

As some of you may know I didn't think there was any way for Kishi to give Sakura a power-up and have it be believable, I'm glad I was wrong and can't wait to see what it is.

Also I like what Kishi did with Sasuke and how he now has the same or at least similar desires to become Hokage as Naruto had during the start of the series, and the parallel between Naruto & Sasuke and Hashirama & Madara is still valid because Sasuke now wants to become Hokage like Madara did and Naruto is the fan favorite to become Hokage like Hashirama was.

Anyway I can't wait till next week's chapter.

I still think the Great Snake Escape in the Sasuke vs Deidara is the worst.

BTW, I hope Naruto doesn't give up his Hokage status to Sasuke if he gets it. (Let's be Honest, Sasuke won't die) It would suck for Naruto to work for all of it only to give it away so easily because he felt sorry for Sasuke or he was the only one who believes Sasuke is good enough and not himself. I know this is unlikely, but still. I hate when stuff like that happens.
