I kinda got sick of the WWII rehashing after a while, I'm glad Infinity Ward is moving on to Modern Warfare. Although co-op could really be nice. =/

The sales numbers would tend to agree with you.
as for co-op, they said it would hurt the quality of the campaign so I think it's the right move. Spec-ops should be good.
I wonder how many trillions of copies this will sell.

Huge scramble at an online retailer last night at midnight, regular edition going for 49.99. Managed to snag a copy. Just gotta wait till Nov 10th.

I'm sure I read a rumor some months back that they were thinking of making Call of Duty 7 about the Vietnam War... however, it would be Treyarch and not IW doing it... so even if the rumor were true... not something to really look forward to.
It'd be interesting none-the-less if it was able to get released. Most game developers try to stay away from the Vietnam War since there was (and is) so much controversy surrounding that war. Not to mention it's a war that (most) people believe the US lost. Not saying it can't be done (since it's already been done), but it'd be interesting to see how "accurate" they can be with it without getting canceled.

I'd like to see Korean war, on top of my incredibly long list of other things. Oh, and maybe Chinese Civil War?

For now, PS3 users (like myself) have to wait a while most likely until the maps are made available..... I don't like it.

It's timed exclusive, it will eventually be on PS3. I actually got a chain mail on my account about it claiming that the 360 was getting the maps exclusively, which is somewhat true but they thought it was permanent and got all riled up. I wish they would've got their facts straight first.
