Anime-wise, I would say the rice country arc was pretty much narusaku. Especially when when Naruto was fighting Arashi...yeah.
Real-life wise, after reading this 'nice guys' essay:
This is for the guys who escort their drunk, bewildered female friends back from parties and never take advantage once they’re at her door, for the guys who accompany girls to bars as buffers against the rest of the creepy male population, for the guys who know a girl is fishing for compliments but give them out anyway, for the guys who always play by the rules in a game where the rules favor cheaters, for the guys who are accredited as boyfriend material but somehow don’t end up being boyfriends, for all the nice guys who are overlooked, underestimated, and unappreciated, for all the nice guys who are manipulated, misled, and unjustly abandoned, this is for you.
This is for that time she left 40 urgent messages on your cell phone, and when you called her back, she spent three hours painstakingly dissecting two sentences her boyfriend said to her over dinner. And even though you thought her boyfriend was a chump and a jerk, you assured her that it was all ok and she shouldn’t worry about it. This is for that time she interrupted the best killing spree you’d ever orchestrated in GTA3 to rant about a rumor that romantically linked her and the guy she thinks is the most repulsive person in the world. And even though you thought it was immature and you had nothing against the guy, you paused the game for two hours and helped her concoct a counter-rumor to spread around the floor. This is also for that time she didn’t have a date, so after numerous vows that there was nothing “serious†between the two of you, she dragged you to a party where you knew nobody, the beer was awful, and she flirted shamelessly with you, justifying each fit of reckless teasing by announcing to everyone: “oh, but we’re just friends!†And even though you were invited purely as a symbolic warm body for her ego, you went anyways. Because you’re nice like that.
The nice guys don’t often get credit where credit is due. And perhaps more disturbing, the nice guys don’t seem to get laid as often as they should. And I wish I could logically explain this trend, but I can’t. From what I have observed on campus and what I have learned from talking to friends at other schools and in the workplace, the only conclusion I can form is that many girls are just illogical, manipulative kittenes. Many of them claim they just want to date a nice guy, but when presented with such a specimen, they say irrational, confusing things such as “oh, he’s too nice to date†or “he would be a good boyfriend but he’s not for me†or “he already puts up with so much from me, I couldn’t possibly ask him out!†or the most frustrating of all: “no, it would ruin our friendship.†Yet, they continue to lament the lack of datable men in the world, and they expect their too-nice-to-date male friends to sympathize and apologize for the men that are jerks. Sorry, guys, girls like that are beyond my ability to fathom. I can’t figure out why the connection breaks down between what they say (I want a nice guy!) and what they do (I’m going to sleep with this complete ass now!). But one thing I can do, is say that the nice-guy-finishes-last phenomenon doesn’t last forever. There are definitely many girls who grow out of that train of thought and realize they should be dating the nice guys, not taking them for granted. The tricky part is finding those girls, and even trickier, finding the ones that are single.
So, until those girls are found, I propose a toast to all the nice guys. You know who you are, and I know you’re sick of hearing yourself described as ubiquitously nice. But the truth of the matter is, the world needs your patience in the department store, your holding open of doors, your party escorting services, your propensity to be a sucker for a pretty smile. For all the crazy, inane, absurd things you tolerate, for all the situations where you are the faceless, nameless hero, my accolades, my acknowledgement, and my gratitude go out to you. You do have credibility in this society, and your well deserved vindication is coming.

I saw NaruSaku.
Last, I told my friend who was a LeeSaku, to read chapter 245. He became a NaruSaku shortly after.
Oh, he was Filipino too...and I'm Filipino. WTFZ. Maybe Filipinos are NaruSaku people .

I actually kinda figured the only way to get romance was going to be by killing Kishi and writing the story ourselves.......
Not that I'm complaining about the writing Naruto part of all that.....

When I read chapter 3, I thought Naruto and Sakura looked cute together and I liked their relationship, but that was all. I didn't like Sasuke, I thought he was a mean, little prick. I did become an Anti-Sasuke then, though.

After the third book of the english Naruto came out, my older sister couldn't help but want more and started downloading the manga chapters from NarutoFan.com.
Since she was reading the manga online and was up to date with the manga she started downloading episodes she liked. So I remember seeing episode 46 & 47 as my first episodes. I didn't know how to download stuff, I learned sometime last year. I was confused and she had to explain what was going on all the time. Luckily, Im up to date with the Naruto manga and download like crazy.
She saw Hinata and thought she looked kinda scary at first, but strange as it is Hinata is her second favorite character next to Gaara. Gosh, she loves them both to death! She became a fan of NaruHina, she liked the way Hinata admired Naruto and how he gave her strength. Back then I didn't have a backbone and didn't want my older sister to reject me or anything. She has such a big opinion and is very defensive. I thought it would be too annoying to try and say my opinion because she would backfire. Very scary. Gosh, im such a weird child.

My sis bought some Naruto dvds online. We have the first 3 seasons. I watched all those episodes with her the Summer of 2004. It was fun. At the beginning of Round 3 of the Chuunin Exam, I discovered my undieing love for Shikamaru. He became my favorite character and he still is. The last episode on season 3 was episode 76, the first part of Gaara's past. It made us cry. :shamefulcry0js:
After seeing episode 64, I became a ShikaTema fan along with my sis. I really like the pairing. Im a fan of InoCho, too. One of the reasons is because both relationships somewhat resemble NaruSaku. Because, they aren't all lovey dovey, they are realistic. They dont get along all the time and they argue.
I finally gained a backbone sometime at the beginning of 2005. I was 13 and in 8th grade of Middle School. Still a huge Naruto fan. I was remembering all of these things and about all the times I agreed to stuff my sis said when I really didn't agree. There are too many times and too many different anime/manga I did that with. Again, I am a total weirdo.

I still do that sometimes though. My sis gets mad and yells at me because I wont voice my opinion. She also gets mad when I dont tell her to shut up when shes ranting in the car and I want her to stop talking. Now, Im voicing my opinion more. But I dont speak loud and clear until I have evidence. You see, im not too good with debating.

It was about a few days before I started High School that I truly discovered I wasn't a Naruhina fan. I was wondering if I was going to find a pairing that I really liked and supported for Naruto. I was actually thinking it was going to be SasuSaku. I discovered I dont really hate Sasuke he just bugs me when hes mean to Naruto. I understand instead of hate him now. But instead I realised Naruto and Sakura's relationship. I realised I liked the relationship ifrom the beginning. From the start they showed such a great and strong relationship. I loved moments when they were together and wondered why Sakura likes Sasuke in the first place.
I was searching NaruSaku stuff on google one day and found a NaruSaku Haven. It was Heaven & Earth. I was open minded and decided to look around. I loved the site and joined after wondering the site for a few days.
One of my greatest NaruSaku experiences was discovering and joining H&E. I really like this place and its full of such great and creative people. Another one of my favorite NaruSaku moments was Ch. 245. BURNING SHOUJO HEART!

So I searched for NaruSaku on google at the thought "maybe NaruSaku has better fics". So I discovered this site. I was...a very early member. And I used the knowledge I gained here to win debates in other forums.

And no, most girl Filipinos are typical Sasuke, SasuSaku, NaruHina, NejiTen fans. Trust me, I know.

But anyways! My biggest moment was actually a recent one, it happened about a week ago, I was digging through the dog box in Engine 2 at the Fire Station (Dog box is a big wooden box we keep all our maps and other crap in) I was there mainly to clean it out and make it a little easier to find stuff in. Last time I went for a map I ended up barried

Comming up behind me quietly, he takes both fingers and jabs them into my sides and yelled really loud. I jumped up smashing my head on the roof of the engine compartment, and proceeded to climb out of the Engine...fall on the ground and role aorund in agony as he had just hurt my sides. While rolling around on the ground like and idiot and listening to him laugh at me. A small folded up picture of Naruto and Sakura together I had printed off the computer no more than a few hours before, came out of my pocket on accident. My captain reached down and picked it up, unfolded it and looked at it. Noticing what he was looking at, I stood strait up ready to snag it from him. For I didn't want to get any crap for watching 'cartoons' Bit before I could get it...he said this and I quote!
"Nice picture...they look like a nice couple...didn't know you were into that Anime stuff kid."
He handed me the picture, and walked away....leaving me there compleatly speachless. And that is the end of my story.

That whole story took forever for me to remember and copy down! I made my sister sound so mean, though. She really just wants me to say my opinion. Maybe if I said my opinion more often I wouldn't have to hear her rants in the car.

But the most defining moment for me was discovering this site and a site with scans and translations of Naruto 2 since I discovered both around the same time. So thanku all for letting me know I'm not the only one out there. :shamefulcry0js:

Its one done by our very own Andorea-chan actually, I had printed it off for a friend. But forgot it was in my back pocket when I went to the station.
That would have been hilarious if he did...but alas, he didn't. He knows about Anime, just doesn't watch it. None of the other guys on the Dept do as far as I know.

Thanks Animegirl, I did find the humor in it after I got over the initial shock. Of course now everyone at the station has heard the story of me slamming my head and falling off the truck (He changed the story, I stepped off the truck and then proceeded to fall over and role around on the ground in pain) He also added a few more things that well...I wont mention here...my Fire Dept is filled with a bunch of Perverts

Marcus: Yea, that's right. He always thought that N/S is the best and i was cheering for K/S.... Why are you staring like that? I thought that Kiba was a good match to Sakura

Marko: And then, i showed him chap 245.

I guess it holds a special place in my heart as it made me a Narusaku fan.
