Well, I watched the 1st episode and I loved it! It was better than I expected. I love the setting, animation, ost and characters so far. OLCODEX does the OP so instant 10/10 from me XD. The animation was instant love for me since that's exactly the kind of thing I expected with the PV. The 1st episode has me very interested in the show and its world.

For example what's the difference between the people living inside the walled city and those from the outside? That one doctor talking about Renka being compatible with the new type as an outsider had me curious. Is it ususally people from inside the city who are compatible with the new types? Are the new types the new kind of weapon like the one Renka was using?

The Aragami are also interesting. At first I thought they might just be brainless monsters kinda like the titans in Snk but they're not. The single fact that they coordinated attacks to disperse the god eaters was very interested. Also the fact that they broke in easily.

I have some more questions about the characters on the whole but well one thing at a time.

I heard this was based on a video game but from some comments on MAL it seems the game is pretty much action only and not much plot. So I wonder how UFO is going to make the plot work in this. So far though they have my interest with this so I hope they do not disappoint.

Btw, Zorro's and Sanji's voice actors are in this anime! Needless to say that Kazuya Nakai is one of my favorite voice actors!

So this is the new anime done by Ufo? I will check it out soon, if they are in the project it must have some quality at least

except for Kara no Kyoukai, I was never a fan of the soundtrack of the animes done by Ufotable

...how could you not like F/Z soundtrack :argh:

I knew I heard Nakai in this! He's Soma right? Would recognize him anywhere. I also don't know who I should thank becauze Nakai is always voicing my favorite characters or characters I instantly fall for in shows. Zoro, Hijikata, Date, Sainglain etc... For these last 2 seasons though Zapp (Kekkai Sensen) and Soma here whose entrance had me :wub:

But who is Hiroaki voicing though? I didn't know about that...

Yup. I absolutely love Nakai's voice. Hijikata and Zapp wouldn't be who they are w/out him. And yes, he voices Soma, the one with the brown skin color. Hiroaki was voicing the dude who was smoking a pipe (while it was raining).

... It's just not memorable to me. Funny thing is the music composer also worked on Kara no Kyoukai, which has some of my favorite soundtracks. And freaking Kalafina... Safe for three songs, I'm starting to get tired of their music.

Man you guys are making this top 3 Summer 2015 anime look bad here. The animation is done by Ufotable. Hard to find better animation than Ufotable's so.....

You've seen a little from a few characters. What is there to stand out without seeing enough? Gotta give characters time to have their personal stories told. We don't even know the real plot yet. Just monsters have taken over. We don't know if it was a god or gods that got mad. We don't even know if gods have anything to do with it. We don't know why some people are in and out of this protective area where our characters live in. How did these humans out of protection evolve into New-Types? Why did a sword get cut in half and start bleeding in the opening? We know so little of the plot and the characters surronding it. All we see is an anime with potential. The hate man... the hate is uncalled for.

I don't really care if it's one of the top 3, that means very little in determining whether it's good or not. I didn't say the animation was bad either, but I don't like the CG look it has. It's just personal taste. I'm also not hating on it, I haven't seen enough of it to feel one way or the other. Trust me, when I hate something you will know, lol. I don't hold back my honest opinion, whether it's good or bad. However, there was nothing here that captured my interest, especially compared to some of the other new anime for this season. I gave it a try, didn't like it, that's all. If you and others enjoy it, that's great, but it's not something that appealed to me.

Calllllmmm down. Haha, I didn't say you had to like it. The only thing you have to watch or read is One Piece.

)* I get what you mean if it's repetitive but at the same at least for me, if it fits the scene than it's great (I just like a lot of music like orchestra, opera and such)

Yeah, it's based of a game. It was released back then in 2010 (also released in the US). Don't get me wrong: The battle, orchastric sounding music fits the anime. But it doesn't make me feel like:" Wow, this is great. I'll prob listen to the soundtrack later again on its own." Nor is it memorable to me personally. Code Geass soundtrack is more bombastic, more pompous, but to me it's more striking and made me relisten to it a ton of times. It all boils down to taste though in the end
