Ah so its a similar concept to Chobits? 
by by that I don't mean it can't be unique though just that the android and human romance genre is not new to me really

Ah so its a similar concept to Chobits?
I've never watched Chobits, so I don't know. Romance is more of a subplot. I wouldn't call Plastic Memories the best show of this season, but it's very enjoyable.

I watched Episode 1 and 2, And I really liked it!! I'm gonna wait for all 13 episodes to come out cause I don't want to wait after week after week for the new episode. But I love the idea of this show. 
It has alot in common with my philosophical views on life and death really. I'ma bit bummed about not seeing a full vid for that song in Episode 1 though. :( It's called again and again, played at the beginning and end of the episode. BTW I CAN'T be the only one who cried or shed tears at the end episode 1 right?
Oh Chobits is an anime with a similar concept. The idea of a future where Society has advanced tech so much that they create androids that can not really be distinguished from humans and it involves a human falling in love with such an android. Well I don't recommend it as I recall you hating the ecchi genre right? Yeah it has a fair amount of that.
But this series has a deeper story than Chobits cause the idea of androids having their own thoughts and feelings is universal in Plastic Memories which makes it more emotional and dramatic.

The show in my opinion is okay, but I gotta say it wasn't the best anime I ever watched. But like you I really love the idea of this anime. It's something I can watch when I don't know what to do XD.
I still need to see 2 episodes til I have caught up with this, though..
