Of course the stories may be different, but I've seen the same elements copied and pasted in fiction hundreds of times. In my opinion, the development of NS isn't all that special. It's nice and cute, though.

Okay. Compared to the romance plot all the movies that have been mentioned in this thread, wouldn't you agree NS is right near the top?

RtN, like you mentioned, was written so much better than most of these movie romances.

Titanic does it for me. And I haven't see Rtn, but I know enough about it. But it's not like I'm saying NS is badly developed or anything.

Titanic is very good. I look at Harry Potter. Now that was a romance subplot that was LAME at best. Harry suddenly developed feelings for Ginny near the end and Hermione? Don't even get me started on the Ron-Hermione resolution. Biggest pile of garbage writing that. Both of them start feeling jealous when they see the other with someone else, then they start an endless cycle of fighting and making up. And at the very end, Ron says something good about house-elves and that's enough for Hermione to lose her supposedly intelligent mind and jump all over Ron and kiss him! That's like Karin that!

Compare JK Rowling's potrayal of Hermione there to that of how Kishimoto, a guy who claims romance writing is his weak point, has potrayed Sakura and her change of feelings for Naruto and all her insecurities and confusions regarding her love. Kishimoto has done great justice to Sakura's feelings.

Yeah I agree. It should have been Harry and Hermione based on the movies portrayal. I wouldn't say Kishi is significantly better than Rowling when it comes to romance, but to me there is a bit of a distinction on who's better.

You are right. You never know, Kishimoto might make NH/SS canon and that would be worse than what Rowling did. I won't always be defending Kishi after that for sure

I have to tell you guys something shocking. It's a Bollywood/British movie i've seen years ago called Provoked and it actually reminds of SasuSaku. It is based on a true story by the way. I'll tell you what happens... There is this family living in the US i think, the husband is a COMPLETE kitten to his family, mainly his wife. Do you wanna now what he did? He says harsh things and abuses her EVERY SINGLE DAY, He threatened to kill her, raped a couple of times, hit her causing her to fall down the staircase WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT. The husband physically, mentally and sexual abused his wife for TEN YEARS. Do you wanna know what's the worst part? After he apologised to her after hitting her causing to fall down the staircase while she was pregnant, HE CONTINUED TO TREAT HER LIKE kitten! One day she couldn't take it anymore, while her husband was asleep she actually SET HIM ON FIRE, burning his back completely (It was shown onscreen) and died in the hospital (He deserved it). The wife was sent to prison for the murder, she got a bunch of helpers who were trying to help her to be free. One day she was released from prison. I don't recommend watching this movie if you don't to be disturbed. Like i said this movie reminds of sasusaku because of the way Sasuke treats Sakura is similar to how the husband treats his wife. I mean seriously... If Sakura ends up with Sasuke... this movie is their future.

Of course I did. Otherwise I wouldn't be calling it garbage writing. I have read every one of the Harry Potter books several times. Its one of my favorite stories. The only thing I hated in the story was Hermione-Ron's love developement. It was never explained why exactly Hermione started loving Ron. The idea that she might like Ron just sort of came out of the blue in the sixth book. We complain about Sakura's reasons for loving Sasuke. Honestly Sakura's crush is better explained than Hermione's.

The other thing I was disappointed was the final battle between Harry and Voldemort. That was so anti-climatic.

Voldemort: I'll kill you Potter! Avada-Kedavra!

Harry: I shall use the powerful spell I like to use in the most important situations. The almighty - Expilliarmus!  :smug:

Voldemort: Dafaq is happening:headscratch:

Harry: Hahahahaaa! Foolish Tom, I'm the master of the elder wand you are using! I beat Draco Malfoy long ago and the elder wand got pissed at him and decided to make me as its master!    Its a bit fickle, isn't it? Its not going to kill its Master! Instead it'll rebound and kill you!   :fu:   :kukuku:

Voldemort: ........     :wallbash:   :bash:

And some people complain about asspulls in Naruto!!!!!!!!! Its the same in most stories.

When Harry Met Sally.

Sally starts off hating Harry at the beginning of the movie, later on they become friends and by the end of the movie they become a nice couple.
