I thought that the 469 scene and the way Kishi answered it was done pretty poorly too, even if he was setting up for Sakura to be more of a heroine. The way he said it was that Sakura confessed under pressure and was trying to ease the burden off of Naruto. Now if that were in the slightest bit true than that means she felt nothing for Naruto even after finding out about his feelings and was only doing it for a means to an end, which would be damaging to their relationship. Which is why even if some are defending this notion it would be be pretty harmful to NS as a whole If Sakura did not start falling for Naruto at this point. No, I'm not asking for them to be canon Instantly, but the feelings should be there at the very least. Which is Why I'm saying that there should be no way he means it like that otherwise it sounds like he is trying to ship-sink NS himself. And while some claim that NS would be damaged If Sakura chooses Naruto because he is the only option since Sasuke turned evil, then I ask what was the point of turning Sasuke evil in the first place? That practically threw the love triangle out the window or do they actually want Sakura to be portrayed as stupid in that she still conflicted about who the good man is here, or that she does not recognize all of Naruto's good qualities?
At the same time, saying Sakura still loves Sasuke is just sounds like he wants her to stay stunted at that phase with the way he portrays things between them right now. Not his intention maybe but that's how it sounds to me, because just cause she has feelings for him still doesn't mean that that he has to portray her as a fragile wreck every single time Sasuke is brought up. The relationships of Naruto and Sakura to Sasuke is the only thing that is being flabbergasted, and quite frankly I do not truly enjoy this at all because Sasuke should not be such an extreme obsession for them that it would not be far-fetched to say he is the sole reason for their existence. That is the only true problem I have with the story all this time. That they think they need Sasuke to be with them to be happy. I honestly think that Kishi puts too much emphasis on Sasuke, even for a "creator's pet".
