Just a reminder for people who didn't read my first post: this is the show that killed off James Woods and brought him back to life with the blood and "youth" of a young, nameless celebrity, and when Peter died several times, met Death, and went on adventures with him to score with his wife twice.

Don't believe the hype.

Say what you want, but I'm glad he's back. Not a smart choice to have him dead. Just not. That's firing your big money maker and crowd favorite in your company for no reason.

So on to the next question - who killed (or as of now tried to kill) Brian?

Messing around with time can leave things very confusing... and History abhors a paradox.

I don't watch this show, but as far as I know it's not supernatural. How did they bring him back?

Let me guess, it was future Stewie and future Brian, who tried to kill this Brian, because Brian not dying means that the world goes insane, like how GWB revived the Confederacy on that episode.
