I wonder so many times why I can't change my thought process about Sasuke, but the honest to gods truth is that I want him to live. Preferably as a Leaf shinobi again. And this is not soley NaruSaku bias either in my reasoning. Personally, it would be nice for me if at least one Uchiha can find the light and not die in the process(Looking at you Obito and Itachi). I would like Sasuke to prove to the world(or at least the audience) that the Uchiha Clan is worthy of respect again. You could say Itachi accomplished that, but I mean someone who's not dead. Someone like Sasuke who struggles through his Clan's hatred for so long, only to make the right choice in the end in the light. That would be preserving the Uchiha Clan's honor in my book .


And also there is my Sasuke bias. I have always felt sympathy and, admittingly, I still do towards him. But his actions lately are inexcusable, no matter how much pain and suffering he's going through. That's the point. Sasuke isn't the only one suffering and he's taking selfish to the extreme. But he still feels a bond with Naruto and I want him to stop pushing that bond away. It's still there. Joining Team Seven would be my ultimate wish for him, simply because of my love for that bond. Sasuke was at one point the closest to happy he could get with his Team Seven and there's no denying that.

Shipping reasons, well let's see. I would want Sasuke to live so Sakura can truly come to grasps with her lingering feelings for him and fully move on. Realize that in the end, the one she truly loves is Naruto. And I also don't want to see NH/SS fanbase spouting off that Sakura only chose Naruto because Sasuke died. It'd annoy the hell out of me and they would continually use this excuse years after Naruto ended.

I wan't Sasuke to live. Despite everything he's done, I still hope he can at least get some sort of "happy" ending. Maybe it won't be a happy ending with lots of rainbows and cake, but at the very least an ending where he isn't completely consumed by darkness so that Naruto is forced to put him down like some sort of mad dog.

As for whether he will ever return to Konoha? Nope. I don't think so. There's just too much bad blood between them, even if he is redeemed. I think him becoming a wanderer with either Karin or Taka by his side is the best option.

I, in all honestly, want him to die. There's just too many baggage between him and the Leaf and that him living in the end just would not be enough of a satisfying payoff for all the things he has done.

I want him to live. Even though he's currently completely insane and a total jerk, the story would feel incomplete if he just...disappeared. Especially since bringing him back is one of Naruto's major goals. It would feel wrong if the guy didn't get what he wanted. And although Naruto has said that he'll die with Sasuke, I don't find that very likely. I think it'll feel like we've been left hanging with no resolution if he died. Above all, consider all the effort that's been put into dragging him home. What would be the point of the plot if all of that was wasted?

After seeing this thread, I'm tempted to create a "Do you want Sakura to ___ in the end?" and see what NaruHina fans say in a NaruHina fanclub. I just wonder if most of them would truly say no, you know .

I see it this way. Sasuke lives, and becomes a wanderer. His redemption doesn't come true.

Years latter Naruto and Sakura have a kid.


Somehow Sasuke ends up care taking and training him. When the time comes to fight a really powerful enemy, Sasuke takes a blast intended for NS kid, and dies, but at the same time, by his sacrifice to save a friend for his own life, makes his redemption come true. Naruto arrives, and beats the bad guys, takes his kid back home to his mother.

I say he should die, the villang USUALY gets destroyed by the hero at the end of a story. plus If they keep him alive then he'd only wnat the village destroyed even more than he already dose

that's my opinion exactly and although i kinda hate him a bit right now i still cant't imagine his death..poor naruto would be broken

I don't want to start any fights here, you already know my opinion, but something still has me puzzled.

How come you guys think Sasuke dying is Naruto failing, but Sasuke becoming a wandering ninja is Naruto succeeding? I mean, if one of Naruto's desires/goals is to have Sasuke return to the village, then doesn't the wandering ninja kind of defeat that? Wouldn't that mean Naruto fails if that happens? I am just wondering because if death is Naruto failing, how is Sasuke never coming back is Naruto succeeding? Especially if Sasuke is never seen or heard from again if he becomes this traveler.

Hypothetically, what if Sasuke wanders and then someone assassinates him on his travels and Naruto never learns of this? Did Naruto succeed or fail? Speaking of which, would Naruto accept Sasuke being punished for what he has done or does Sasuke get a free pass? Since Naruto is supposed to end hatred, Sasuke can basically get away with anything in front of Naruto and he will never be hated for it.

I'm sorry, it's just these weird questions that I have that puzzle me.

Honestly though, the only thing about the "Sakura choosing Naruto because Sasuke is dead" thing could easily be squished if NaruSaku became a couple before the fight took place. Hell, maybe even during, but not after. Speaking of which, what happens if Sakura ends up with Naruto because Sasuke becomes a wanderer? I think the point I am trying to make here is is that no matter what outcome occurs, some fans will always say that Sakura chose Naruto because she couldn't have Sasuke if NS becomes canon and SS does not. I think the last inner monologue chapter is my proof that SS is dead to Sakura now, simply because she said he was staying with Naruto no matter what. It doesn't mean NS is canon, but I think it puts the final nail in the coffin for SS.

That's true but he also took out Orochimaru(then revived him again so nevermind), took out Deidara, took out Itachi(Ninja World thinks he's evil still) and helped stop Edo Tensei.

Hmm, I'm not giving Sasuke any of those points really. Yeah he fought them all and beat some of them, but he didn't really "take them out."

Orochimaru? Technically, he just sealed his soul inside himself and then Itachi put him in Susanoo.
Deidara committed suicide. Sasuke bet him up, but no points for he did not deal the final blow.
Itachi was dying and even then Itachi was an even match for Sasuke. If Itachi was at full strength, Sasuke would not have stood a chance. Plus Itachi was not trying to kill Sasuke at all, merely just push him to his limits. Itachi then succumbed to his sickness.

The only kill I can give to Sasuke is Danzo really. He pierced him in the heart with a fatal injury which then Danzo committed suicide to take the eyes with him.

well james does have a point too i mean after all the main theme is friendship ( naruto and sasuke) and what the aneme and manga are focusing on the most is bringing sasuke back ( to the point where the anime should be called SAVING THE CONFUSED UCHIHA instead of NARUTO ) .....well as the heroe who saved the village naruto could ask the village to not hold a grudge againt sasuke but he still has to be punished ( he tried kidnapping killer be so what will his older brother do ) and as for sakura I consider SS dead from the moment she found out that naruto loves her i mean common its not like kishi will let her run into sasuke's arms( when she herself have said to sai that naruto considers sasuke as his brother) knowing that he (naruto) loves her ....right kishi.

Absolutely this (well, I actually want him to die, but regardless...). It would be ridiculous for Sasuke to come back after he got shunned from the village, just because Naruto wants to. Naruto is an minority, and the majority wants Sasuke to disappear.

I agree with many that he should live but be out the village. For those saying that Sasuke becoming a wanderer is Naruto failing, I feel that Naruto's goal now is more of Sasuke being saved from hatred and darkness rather than necessarily bringing him back to the village. I also don't want people saying " NS happened because Sasuke died".

haters are always going to find an excuse for NS if it happens ...well naruto is probably going to save sasuke from his darkness but what i'am confused about is whether he would leave for good after being saved
