I honestly, that's kishimoto's fault. I understand that he wants to show madara as a jerk but in this case, because of kishimoto's lack of foresight, madara is right. Kishimoto's made tsunade too weak when he created her. That's it. Now I actually want tsunade to get her arse handed to her because I don't want kishimoto's to contradict himself.
1. "This is worthless NONSENSE."
2. "This is an interesting, but perverse, point of view..."
3. "True, but quite unimportant."
4. "I ALWAYS SAID SO!"

The child of prophesy maybe? The tablets left behind by the Sage might have contained information on the child of prophesy who would one day either save or destroy the world, (Maybe contained information about him being able to tame the Bijuu as well,) it was strongly hinted that the Sage knew of such a person from his flashback scene with the chibi-bijuu, and naturally with the Senju clan all but exstinct and with the Uchiha elimitated, same with the Uzumaki, they must have believed Sasuke to be the child the prophesy spoke of (They did't know about the second prophesy made by the Toad Sage and with the Uchiha pride would assume it would be one of their decendents, specially as they know the Sharingan is capable of controlling the bijuu.). It is probably why the Uzumaki clan was destroyed as well, it wasn't mentioned but I got the feeling that it was Madara under the guise of the third Mizukage and using the Great Ninja war as an excuse to have the last known decendents destroyed.

And people shouting "Sexist! Kishi's a sexist!" seriously? Tsunade is just owning up to what Madara said like with needing to use hand signs and not having wood style; she's not saying that being a woman makes her weak. Plus, she's rolling up her sleeve ready to kick his butt, so it's not like she's giving up and waltzing back in the kitchen.

But what about Shisui and Obito?

Hmm... They didn't talk about anything new, but what they chose to talk about was very revealing.
1) I thought Sasuke had moved on to his own path, but bless his little psychotic heart, he is *still* trying to get validation from his big brother.
2) Even after death, and with no other plans or schemes to worry about, Itachi is still being a jerk. After lying and playing mind games with Sasuke, Itachi is disappointed that Sasuke didn't chose the right path. (But that's okay. If he can't pick the right path, at least he is chosing his own path.

(Itachi *is* on an important task, but that wouldn't stop him from talking-while-running. Or even saying, "I haven't been much of a big brother, but let's do an Uchiha team up against Orochimaru's pupil.")
Again, hmm... When we were introduced to Tsunade, she was drunk and gambling. It seems like she hadn't done any training or missions in some time. We only know her strength when she was "out of shape".
I've heard some past comments complaining that Pein's attack didn't end up killing anyone, but I can't remember Tsunade being given credit. Pein dropped the equivalent of a nuclear bomb on Konaha, and Tsunade kept the village alive. She may be less skilled than the 1st because she had to use hand signs, but it is still an impressive display of power. I have a feeling that Madara is going to seriously underestimate the amount of healing she can do.
Put it this way. Naruto's mentors mentioned he was less skilled at using the rasengan because he needed to use clones to create them. But that in no way diminishes what he has done with that skill, the power behind it, or how quickly he learned to do it in the first place.

But damn, Madara sure was bagging on Tsunade. He's right, though... Now the First can heal himself with no seals!? I wonder what Tsunade will do. I hope she'll do something but I don't know...
That's what I was thinking. Kishi sure likes making women look weak, it seems. What's she going to do against Madara? She's weak compared to her grandfather, and she is only a "woman," after all... Tsk tsk.
Lol @ first paragraph. I feel the same way.
And yeah. I'm curious to see how she'll display this "will of fire." Honestly, she hasn't convinced me yet, as much as I like her.
That's exactly what I've been thinking this entire time. It's kind of disappointing to see her so weak compared to the Kages. She's strong in her own right, but still.
I don't think there have been any female Uchiha who have activated the Sharingan. Sexist much?
Oh God, I hope so. As much as I love some of the current characters, the characters that are dead now/the older generations seem so interesting.

Also, there's a few comments about how the current ninja seem to be weaker than the old ninja. There's a reason for that; Madara and Hashirama must've lived in an age of turbulence, it's possible that the Sage's death may've caused a power vacuum with several powerful warriors rising and fighting in a sort of 'Feudal Period'. It could be to prove who was to be the next powerful ninja or to quickly acquire the newly created bijuu.
Compared to the relatively peaceful modern times, it makes sense that the older, deceased ninja are several degrees more powerful than the current ninja. They were constantly fighting amongst each other until villages started popping up. Then, it seems like the villages may have been in a state of Cold War, where espionage was the norm, with fewer large-scale battles.
Heck, compare Hashirama's large-scale Mokuton techniques to Minato's teleporting technique. We've got attacks designed to affect a larger area and could take out an army vs. a more precise technique that could be used to get in and out of an area quickly (though it can still be used against an army, too).
We've also got the outfits from the past and present. Hashirama and Madara both wear thick armor while current ninja are dressed in all sorts of outfits that aren't standard issue. It might indicate a shift from large-scale battles to infiltration. Obviously, you stick out while wearing armor in another village. They also wear tactical jackets that may or may not be armor, but allow a ninja to carry a variety of tools.

Actually that is true but I'm tired of it being the excuse to losing badly cause "you're talenless compared to the one before you" crap. Can't they be losing for once cause of superior experience, cunning and tactical preparation or something? Strength shouldn't be decided by the era but by the individual. at least in fiction

Plus, at least most of the Kages have been fighting without rest. Oonoki most prevalent.
Also, I don't think that the modern shinobi are experienced in taking down these ridiculously powerful opponents.
Madara's Mokuton ability probably wasn't anticipated by the Alliance.
And really, the fact that Madara lived in such a turbulent period IS the reason that he's so powerful. Add to being able to use the Sharingan, he's probably mastered it more than any Uchiha due to constant fighting.

Naruto's story is straight forward: gain knowledge and power to rid best friend of evil. But it's Sasuke's story that is complex. He's got knowledge and power, but he's still grappling with the emotional bombshells of his youth. And he wants revenge. Sasuke's character is still developing, where Naruto's development has sort of stopped.
Anyway, chapters like this make me wonder why the manga is named Naruto. Yeah, he is the savior and all....but the plot really revolves around Sasuke.
Itachi is such an ass. You screwed him up, now just answer the poor kid's questions.
Tsunade and the will of fire.... Looks like she's been trained in Naruto's Talk no Jutsu too.

The bolded part, is were I lost respect for this Manga and Kishi. After the Tsunade part now I questioning the time I spend reading this Manga...
Naruto is nothing like Goku, Ichigo, Luffy or even Edward from FMA, Naruto was only created to kiss Sasuke's a** plus make Sasuke look good....
