I live just outside Washington DC, so I'm pretty sure I'll be without power for a little while. We actually got a call from our power company earlier today telling us to prepare, so they may actually be on the ball this time.

Irene has started baring her teeth here in Wilmington. Getting some wind gust of up to 50 mph. There some flooding already, and some major waves. And the worst of Irene has yet to hit here yet. I'll be waiting out the storm at my work over night. So tonight might turn out interesting.

Here in Raleigh Irene's pretty light. I've seen worse winds in a regular storm.

Wilmington is getting hit hard right now, historic storm surges being reported in Eastern Virginia.

Baltimore, DC and the Chesapeake better brace for impact.

There have already been confirmed deaths, do not play around with this storm.

Rikers Island has not been evacuated even though in Flood Zone. No Contigency Plan exists

Im glad my relatives in Puerto Rico and Florida won't have to deal with this ish for once. Now what sucks is New Jerseyians hav evacuated into Philly, bringing their Joisey slang and accents with them. I'd like to see a settlement established for all the Jersey peeps to occupy. It'd be just like the movie District 9, but with uglier refugees.


Most likely we might have to deal with flooding and power outaged, but Ive got a generator so I can use PS3 since I simply must play the new Madden 12.

The good news: now the jersey people have left, becaused Philly is starting to get hammered. Bad news: power is going out and the mayor said it might not come back as long as two weeks from now. Im out of the city already

Yeah, I know... And the silly thing is, just like the surprise earthquake, we hardly get any tornadoes, except in the northwestern part. That area get the severe storms and stuff. The only serious thing we get are blizzards and the nor'easter.

Well, nothing happened here where I'm at (excluding some of my friends' basements at their homes being flooded and lost some power). I hate to say it but in certain areas, especially where I live at, we hardly get anything bad. (I bet Irene said "Screw this city! I'm getting NYC!" because that's where they got the heavy hitting).
