Might be able to squeeze in after things I need to do before the Rapture ends. I might rapture some gifts, maybe rapture up some unfinished business; hell, I might even write a rapture song that can make ever rapturer out there look like a raptured-up prissy.

EDIT: Haha, Shauna. XD Well, if this thing is going to happen, I guess we'd better hope that Kishimoto finishes the rest of Naruto in triple-quick time.

Yup, that's history repeating itself again, i thought we would have learned from the first time some nutty nuterson predicted it, also the rapture...sounds like BS to me, i read what it says...Oh all true believers will go to heaven, and everyone else will stay on Earth to do what? Make it a better place?

American Dad has already made that clear, we'll stay on Earth battling demons for at least 7 long years.

Of course, the joke will be on all of the Rapture-obsessed pranksters if the Apocalypse happens this Saturday. But Pastor Joseph Fuiten of Bothell, Wash., told the Seattle Times that he puts no stock in the prophesying of Camping and his followers. "Unfortunately they have overlooked the obvious words of Jesus: 'You do not know the day or the hour' of such events," he said.

I don't mock people who are privately deeply spiritual (including Christians) and when they speak of their faith it's in the context of what it means to them personally.
I'm a skeptical wiccan myself and that's the context I speak of it on the rare occasions that I do speak of my spirituality to non wiccans - the personal spiritual part of it means a lot to me, but I'm questioning about the various gods and goddesses existence, I'm more on board with a Jungian psychological approach to the divine- a kind of energy that is both masculine and feminine and neither... (it's hard to find words for it)
It is mockable though that some extremist Christians buy into this nonsense, and have done so over the centuries. All because Revelations had a tie breaker vote in the 300's and got included in the official Biblical texts. It was the only book that had that close a vote. It was highly controversial amongst those 4th century Bishops- several outright denounced it as deluded ravings, not the word of God. I can't but think how much less extremism there might have been if the vote had gone the other way and that book wasn't included, and the Gnostic gospel of Mary Magdalene had been included.

You have to live by faith and trust in his will. Having faith is a practice all forms of religion shares.
