I'll check it, although maybe I do not like so much as the original series.
Regardless, I guess nobuhiro Watsuki has definitely joined the -unfortunately long- list of mangakas have got only one or two successes and keep living off them because they are unable to make something draws huge amounts of readers again: Izumi Matsumoto (Kimagure Orange Road), Masakazu Katsura (Video Girl Ai), Masami Kurumada (Saint Seiya), Yoichi Takahashi (Captain Tsubasa), Akira Toriyama (Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball), Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon)...

Actually, its not technically a "reboot", its more like a manga version of the live-action movie that may become an ongoing reboot series.
