I live in Grass Valley, CA. As the name suggests, it's full of hippies and retirees which means there is pot everywhere. Not a lot around for anyone between the ages of 14 and 40 unless you like drugs and drinking. Housing is super expensive, and so is shopping. The nearest Wal-mart is 45min away. Through some means I have yet to understand, the city entices tourists to come walk the 2 "historic" main streets downtown and shop in all the expensive stores there. I guess the appeal is that it used to be a pretty profitable gold mining town during the gold rush era and up until the early 1900's. There's been talk about some company re-opening the Empire Mine here, but not sure what the current status of that endeavor is...

I live in a city called Yambol...it's in Bulgaria which is in Europe..I like it here 
it's really nice we've got lots of stuff that are really cool.It's pretty much like any other place..(i think)

I live in the northern part of Greece in a quite small town. It's nice here, just a common Greek town. Cold winter, much snow, wonderful landscape, best teachers ever and great big smiles . Everyone here has a warm heart. But still I wish I lived in California.... XD

Yeah, DC is actually my second home, it's where my grandmother lives, and I've lived there off and on for a few years - in Northwest, an area often referred to as Chevy Chase because it borders the MD town of the same name. A lot of people who live there just call it Chevy Chase, DC. That's similar to others who refer to the places they live, like you said - Capitol Hill, Anacostia, Potomac Heights, Tenleytown, etc. Some people may recognize those names if they played Fallout 3...
Where I currently live is a pretty big town called Olney, MD - but there's only like one or two people on the boards here who likely have any idea where the hell that is, so I usually just say Washington DC since I can technically walk over the border to my grandmother's house in about 5 or 6 hours. Interestingly enough they might also recognize Olney in Fallout 3 as well. (It was called Old Olney.)
