If it is true that Sasuke will be vying for the position of Hokage now then the statement Naruto made back in chapter 2 could be interpreted as a foreshadowing for future events (though that is probably just stating the obvious). The abruptness of his decision is distasteful though IMO. I'm beginning to understand why many of the fans believe that the war arc is arguably the least impressive of them all.

The relationship hinting is amazing but I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic nonetheless. From what can be inferred Sakura is displaying her tsundere qualities again. That's wonderful, please keep it up Kishi. Also, did anyone else realize the parallel to the Sannin in this chapter?

What happened way back in chapter 2 that you're referring to?

Naruto promised Konohamaru that he would battle with him one day for the title of Hokage. I believe that the recent events with Sasuke may be a reference to that declaration Naruto made all of those years ago.

Well if that isn't reminiscent of the old Team 7 that existed so long ago. It's awe-inspiring and terrifying at the same time. This is the critical point within the manga for NaruSaku.

It depends on the translation; she either does, or Naruto says she will either one of the two is hilarious. I'm tempted to think she does do it, but given all the stuff that happens in the chapter, that might be asking for the cherry on top of an already great cake.

I mean, I even got a Taka spread! or what looks like one, at least.
