Chapter 3~
It'd been 10 years since Yoko and Yondy last saw each other- ten years since they'd embraced or had any contact. Now they were alone in a basement, deep beneath the Earth and far from any other human contact. The nuclear holocaust had wiped out human civilization- Yoko and Yondy were the only two people left on Earth.
Suddenly, there was knock on the door.
Terrorized, Yoko reached towards the door, her heart beating violently with boggling thrusts. What was behind the door, she did not know. Silently side stepping along the wall of the hall, she reached over to a nearby night stand and pulled out a Smith and Wesson. Whatever waited on the porch after the end of the god damn world was probably not something that was in the mood of festivity. She drew back the slide of the gun ever so quietly, loading the first cartridge into the chamber. Her breath became heavier; she was just a mere novice when it came to arms, not knowing really how to shoot a gun. Inching closer to door, fear began to overwhelm her, her knees began to fail, her pulse went off beat. Yoko did not know many things that day. She did not know what happened to the earth, she did not know what had happened to her family, she did not know how she met with Yondy; for Christ's sake, she didnt even know who was at the kittening door. The only thing that she knew was that she would protect Yondy with her life. In a matter of time, the door was upon her. With sweaty palms, she reached for the knob.
And then, someone opened it from outside.
