Naruto already said during the first chunnin exam, he will not give up. Even if he were to be a genin forever, he will still be a hokage. So yep Kishi will go by this.

I think it's clear Naruto will stay genin. Because that's what makes him so badass. Ranks are just names and formalities and he'll prove that by becoming hokage.

And you get a:

1. "This is worthless NONSENSE."
2. "This is an interesting, but perverse, point of view..."
3. "True, but quite unimportant."
4. "I ALWAYS SAID SO!"

It's the symbol of his mother from the Whirlpool village? That swirling symbol's a symbol of the close ties of that village to Konoha, according to the Naruto wiki.

But Naruto didn't know that back then. And that's not the point anyway. What I meant was since only chunin or higher are allowed to wear the flak jacket OR a Uzshio symbol, why was Naruto always allowed to wear it? And why is he now?

Well, that's unknown, perhaps that jacket was once owned by a relative of Naruto's, perhaps Sarutobi gave it to him as a connection, despite not knowing it before, to his mother. The simplest answer is that Kishi drew it in Naruto's wardrobe because he's associated with spirals. I doubt it's anything deeper than that.

I know that. All I'm saying is someone would notice! He's been wearing that but it's not allowed!

Perhaps they let him keep it because of the fox?

Yeah. (sarcasm)

They bully him around and hate him but won't ask him why he wears that 'illegally'. Right...

EDIT

@shadow_Uzumaki,
As far as we know he HAS no relatives. Kishi obviously thought about it when he decided to make it only allowed for chunin but apparently it's too small of a point.

Well, another thing, we don't even know that spiral symbol is exclusive to chunin and jounin vests in the first place. It's most likely just there for a design, aside from a symbol of Konoha's relationship and homage to Whirlpool. In fact, who knows, wherever Naruto got his sweatshirts may very well likely sell clothing with spirals. Heck, Naruto's 'off-duty' black shirt has a spiral in the front middle. It's analogous to having Chinese symbols on t-shirts because they looked cool, not because it's a Chinese dude wearing 'em. I think you're over-thinking it.

What's sage level? huh.gif

Naruto is more or less guaranteed the title if he doesn't die. He's S+. Literally. But what's interesting is how he might get there. There is no way anyone will let him do the chunin exams. He'll pwn them. But the rules say you have to take it to become chunin. Without being chunin you can't go higher so yeah... that's a problem considering rules are rules.

On another note, he already wears a thing only chunin and higher are allowed to - The Uzshio Symbol. I don't see anyone complaining so I don't think anyone cares if he skips a few ranks.

Sage level = Jiraya

Besides, his official designation is Sennin, meaning above Jounin by far, and a match to Kage level. Just remember Shikaku telling Shikamaru that Naruto is now on his own level. And that is without the Kyubi mode. For the Uzshio Symbol, it is actually his right to use it more than anyone else, for it's the symbol of the Uzumaki clan, his own clan.

First, Sannin is no rank. It was a name given to those three by Hanzo. It's not a rank. Just a title. A title that was only theirs and no one else's. And yes, he IS Kage level.

And on the Uzshio, no one knows he's an Uzumaki, so why wouldn't they stop him? I understand it's his right but no one except a few do.

first Sannin was a title given by Hanzo.

Sennin is a title earned by those who master the Senjutsu. Different things..

Second, isn't his name UZUMAKI Naruto? How come people don't know he is an Uzumaki??

Exactly. SENNIN is only a title. You can't say he's 'Sennin level'. It doesn't work.

Not many people know of the clan. Sure they know his last name is Uzumaki but he's the only one with it as far as they know and he is a nobody as far as they're concerned. Phantom's response months ago was true but IF they aren't allowed to wear it, then it makes no sense that Naruto is allowed.

Then why don't we conclude with an answer that makes sense? Its just a symbol that the chunnins and jounins wear its not exactly exclusive.

Naruto is a complete badass. He has reached sage mode, He has mastered the Nine Tails, he has a all powerful attack, and now he can perform (well not 100% sure) yellow flash. seeing him go from genin to hokage is like the cherry on top.

The question is Naruto going to become Hokage...maybe, but is he going to reach a title that is similar in prestige, or even higher than a Kage. Definitely, if he is to change the system, he needs to get rid of the entire ninja world.
