They just keep revealing one orchestrator after another who happened to be pulling the strings of someone lower on the pole. Madara, Tobi, Akatsuki, Indra, even the Jubi... It all leads back to this underhanded, egocentric being that fancies herself as the forebear of everything related to the world's conflicts and chakra. It's sounding more and more like Kishi is trying to skirt around the issue of culpability for anyone who ever did anything wrong (except for people like Gatou whose motives continue to be centred exclusively on wealth and authority for their personal benefit).
What an odd chapter that was. Expository conversations aside, Kaguya looked creepy, almost inhumane on that last page. So now there's a potential parallel between Naruto, Sasuke, Hagoromo, and Hamura. Well hopefully there's something to be gained from it besides symbolism and some bad recollections from Kaguya.
