Can't wait for thursday tho!
Ikr, if this is an "NH movie" then why would they even mention Sakura? I'm sure she will do more than help rescue Hanabi.

That's why I think NS will be endgame.
I mean ... come on ... just who with a bit of logic in their minds would think Naruto would hook up with any other girl than Sakura?
We were all 100% sure of NS - until this advertising came ...

Watch the trailer closely and paused the part when Hinata is falling and calling Naruto-kun. Looks like the Red Scarf that Naruto is wearing given/holding by Hinata is ripped apart. Symbolism? The Red Thread of Fate? Nahh.. Naruto and Sakura are the destined lovers. It was foreshadowed many times in the manga. I smell Kishi's trolling to the very end at the Movie the Last Naruto.

I haven't posted much in this thread, usually because of a lack of time on my hands.
But with Naruto coming to an end, I figured I would give my thoughts on this pairing that I've followed for 10 years.
My feeling is I can't believe it was all for nothing.
I can't believe that scene on the bench where Naruto pretends to be Sasuke and says exactly what Sakura was thinking was for no reason.
I can't believe that the manga developed from Sakura just seeing Naruto as an annoyance at first, to a teammate over the Land of Waves arc, to an actual friend through the Chuunin exam arc where she's willing to quit the exam for him and later have them cheering for each other, and all of it leading to nowhere.
I can't believe that before nearly being crushed to death by Gaara, that the last thing Naruto thought about was Sakura being in danger, which in turn gave him the drive to do the summon.
That's all just from part one. Sakura was built up from seeing Naruto as a pest, to being a teammate, to being a friend and eventually a very close friend.
At the end of part one, it's seeing Naruto so hurt and defeated looking that drives her to become a better ninja under Tsunade.
It just continued from there in the second half, Sakura caring so much about Naruto in the rescue Gaara arc, trying to save him at all costs when he went into the four tails mode. And especially what Yamato said to her on the bridge.
Later on of course, Sakura offering to help Naruto eat his ramen, showing a direct contrast to the first bell test. Followed by the hug after pein.
Then there was Sakura's confession. Where she basically wanted to put aside what she wanted and take out Sasuke to ease his pain. Now, this of course may not have been the best route, but it's undeniable that it was done because she legitimately cares about him.
And finally I can't believe that the comparisons to Kushina and Sakura rushing to Naruto's aid, it being her top priority to save his life above all else, while Hinata just tripped, was all for nothing.
I can't believe that all of the build up, all of the development, from those early chapters to now, I cannot believe that it will all be for nothing. That it will be completely negated in one movie.
If you havent read this then read it because reasons.

dude, you need to pay attention ,I have posted this twice, don't know if it was this thread or the 698 one but still, I posted that sakura doesn't want to be with sasuke, she just WANTS TO SAVE sasuke, kakashi said this in the raws which were just like the viz translation WHICH I PRINT SCREENED ON MY SHONEN JUMP ALPHA SUBSCRIPTION and posted on the thread of chapter 693 and had everyone check the raws alongside, there is nothing romantic about what sakura said to sasuke in front of naruto, good grief dude calm down....
I understand that, but try looking at that scene from Naruto's point of view rather than Kakashi's (or ours). Naruto firmly believes she loves him, we got that much from the Kage Summit fiasco. As far as we know, his perception on that hasn't changed. On the contrary, his lack of reaction shows he's not surprised at all by it. Sasuke's perception is the same, since he gives an appropriate response to it. How is he going to confess when he believes that to be the case?
The last true moment NS had was when she saved his life. The aftermath of that moment was unimpressive to say the least, Naruto outright ignored Sakura (I understand stuff could have happened off-panel, but Kishi didn't think it was relevant enough to show us). Now, if we're expecting a NS moment to happen before the epilogue, what will it be about? It can't be about the parallels, since the characters aren't actually aware of them (well, Naruto and Sakura aren't, at least). It can't be about the forehead scene, that was a one-time deal that never got mentioned again (it would have if it was meant to have any serious impact on Sakura at all). The POAL can be used to trigger something, but it would require more than the number of panels Kishi has left to give it a proper moment (just picture it playing it out in your head along with everything else that needs a conclusion, see how many panels that would take). The OVA scenario can't play out because Sasuke is there too.
That leaves us with a timeskip canonization, which goes in line with what the teaser for the movie is implying. When it comes to that, I see NH as having a slightly more solid ground considering how much focus Hinata's feelings got in this war. NS has more development overall, but said development is all over the place. You can't quite place them as a build up of romantic feelings while keeping in mind what Kishimoto put Sakura's character through (fake confession to Naruto, thinking of Sasuke when fodder-nin brings up the one she loves, etc). They grew to be close friends, yes, but I have my doubts we can take anything more than that out of it. Honestly, if it wasn't for the parallels and the theme of never giving up, I'd have long accepted NS as a remote scenario.
Conclusion: A pre-epilogue NS moment isn't looking all that likely. It could happen over a timeskip, but NH has a slight edge on it due to having the most recent mutual moments.

That's really a stupid promotion. They are acting as Naruto ahd to chose between Sakura and Hinata, but they don't advertize Sakura at all, only NH. No need to ask yourself who he'll chose, sine they give you the answer in their promotion. And I hate how they promote the movie as Sakura was not part of it.
And if NH does become canon in that movie, I'd hate the fact that it would mean we were wrong to consider Naruto's feelings deeper than what they actually were, since, going by the promotion we have, Sakura doesn't even cross his mind, he's just falling for Hinata like he had no love interest in the first place.
It's 4:25 am here in France. I just woke up ... HAPPY! I had a dream where NS become CANON ! I don't know why but I have a very good feeling !
Stay united friends ! In NaruSaku we believe !
Je vous aime !
Je suis française aussi!
And it's funny because I also had a little NS dream. I dreamed that we had a NS promotion for the movie for once. It was saying "Lots in Sakura's beautiful eyes, Naruto (is/has)...." IN the same way of the previous "Naruto surely.... for Sakura who's beauty has increased."

My dream : sorry my bad English
Sakura arrives and sees Naruto lying on the ground, with his bloodied arm and fell crying on his chest : "I'm sorry, again I couldn't do anything. What can I do for you ?"
Naruto looks intensely into her eyes.
"I never told you that your forehead is the most beautiful forehead that I ever saw..
I don't know wha..."
Sakura kisses him before he finished his sentence.
"Don't say anything Naruto : I love you.. Heaven and Earth will finally be united for life, my Naruto."
T.T I hope it will happen like that, like in my dreams...
