my opin i think the confession was real as stated by kish and it is not plitunic as stated by the manga hints 450 hug exc.Now we know sakura did not want to hurt naruto more by lieing to him and causeing him more pain so that helps prove the confession as well as kish saying he felt like he was writeing a honest and determind girl more proof. As well as sakura geting mad at him for not beliveing her.

Now as for sasuke i will admite she probly has lingering feelings for him but all her feelings for him were of a fake sasuke that never really was or from chapter 3 he never showed one bit of interist in her. He has tryed to kill twice called her anoying, weak.

Ugh, it bothers me when people use the recent interview as proof towards a pairing. This goes for both NS and SS/NH fans. I don't know how many times now I have seen people state how NS isn't happening "BECAUSE KISHI SAYS SO". Honestly, I wish that interview never happened, because people have stopped reading the manga and instead defaulted to a few lines quoted by fans as WORD OF GOD END OF STORY. The NH/SS dependency on it is laughable, as if cuddling up to an interview makes it all ok. As if it increases Sasukes chances of become a normal functioning human and Hinata's chances of reappearing sometime before the epilogue. As if it somehow beats down that little fear that NS might actually become cannon.

Unfortunately, I have seen NS fans do the same thing. "Sakura wasn't lying because kishi said so!" Well really, he didn't say so. He didn't say "Sakura wasn't lying", but somewhere along the way his words have been twisted into something to make us feel better. But why would he give away what he is working so hard to keep a big mystery? The pairings are still being toyed with, and to think Kishimoto decided to out his intentions is silly. I wish fans would just read the manga and let the interview be already.

I feel better now :3

funny thing is women do in the real world alot of times they still love the person even if they want them killed

And Kishimoto has Karin for that. That's been established. It's also been established that Sakura "has moved on from Sasuke and fallen in love with Naruto." I think you are mistaking a few remnants of her feelings for the boy she idealized, she knows he'll never be. She knows he's a true monster now, and was quite prepared to kill Sasuke. Those remnants of feelings have no connection to or interference with her being deeply in love with Naruto. It was pretty clear she had already decided to move on from her hopeless one sided crush on Sasuke at the end of part 1. Even in her confession to Sasuke she was quite aware he never liked her and never would. The moment Naruto made the Promise of a Lifetime to Sakura, that's when Sakura's unconscious feelings for Naruto (from chapter 5 onward) began to become conscious. You can see in her whole demeanor and words when she visits Naruto in the hospital she's already started to move on for good of any illusions of romance (that we know from her confession to Sasuke even in her moment of desperation, she knew was an illusion) with Sasuke, and beginning to think of Naruto in that sense. This was the only real point where she was in love with both boys, as we see from Sakura's thoughts when she speaks to Tsunade. By 248, she's put away those romantic dreams of Sasuke, and is clearly having those sort of dreams about Naruto. It's pretty obvious when you compare Sakura's reaction to seeing Naruto for the first time in 2 1/2 years vs when she saw Sasuke. No romantic reactions whatsoever to Sasuke, straight out no holds barred romantic reaction to Naruto. As has been said both by posters here and in the manga, Sakura might have some love for who Sasuke was, but she has long since moved on from being in love with him. It is Naruto she is in love with and has been consciously for aound 3 years now, unconsciously she gradually fell in love with Naruto from the moment the first bell test started.

thank you

i WAS AN SASUSAKU FAN BEFORE i think she loved sasuke true mature love she grew her love out of concern and love for him actually

i feel the only way to move on is for her to think about everything after the whole Reunion thats about to happen. right now she is very CONFUSED sad and feels useless she needs to think which i think will happen when while healing karin or back at the village

both naruto and sakura need to sort out everything what they feel for sasuke and themselves before starting any relationship

and please stop doing that by taking others posts

Saying she is honest and determined doesn't mean she isn't lying. And isn't it true that most NS fans accept that she WAS lying about just giving up on Sasuke? :/ That is just twisting words meant to describe her character overall into making it seem like this individual incident is about that. Sakura isn't always honest. She does try to do her best, and she is determined.

EDIT: Stop fighting you two >.>

The confession could go either way. I'm pretty sure she wasn't ready to make a choice like that, so in that sense it was a lie. At the same time, the nice things she said about Naruto, and enjoying being close to him, is the truth. She was lying about totally getting over Sasuke, but telling the truth about how Naruto had become so important.

So it is a little bit of a lie and a little bit of truth. Essentially, I think she loved both of them.

she choose naruto over sasuke

She wanted to be with Naruto in order to keep him safe, not necessarily because she was ready to be with him. She would have gone through with it, and most likely be happy, but she might have also felt guilt towards the part of her that wasn't over Sasuke. And also, I think she would have gone after Sasuke at some point, because he still needed to be dealt with. Sakura got mad at him probably because he was acting so harsh towards her and what she believed in was being threatened. She was uneasy, and guilty, so it would be easy for someone like Sakura to get mad suddenly.
