I actually felt bad. Not just for us NS but for NH, SS and the whole Naruto fandom. Esp those who grew up with this manga like me.

Its not even about the pairings anymore that is sad.

 

I know what you mean but there was no real other way to end it than NS tbh. Like nothing else made sense. If he wanted to make sense without the pairings should've really ended at 698. Actually that would've been a better idea.

A funny thought occurred to me.

 

I know that manga publishers in Japan, especially Shounen Jump, has been trying to combat pirated releases.  We were all rejoicing (briefly) at this earlier than anticipated release of the chapters. 

 

What if they deliberately leaked a fake chapter 700? As punishment. 

 

That was actually one of my theories and this afternoon I actually believed it too. But I just don't know anymore. I keep getting switched back and forth. I guess Monday we'll know for sure, but so far, luck is not on our side (though logic is)

 

EDIT: Just for clarification, not believing or anything, this ship has sailed, just humouring something.

 

So, this would be a great punishment. Why? The majority of the West are NH/SS shippers. Could you imagine what would happen if it turned out these chapters were just to troll? 

 

Now again, just humouring myself. Do I believe the chapters are real? In my current state of mind yes, coupled w/ the fact that stupid movie, can only pray for a miracle.

TBH The Naruto and Sakura in chp 698 and onwards is not the Naruto and Sakura I read for 600+ chapters.Thats putting it simply.Kishi destroyed Sakura in the last chapters.

Kishimoto could've at least gave an explanation to how Naruto moved on.  He just jumps to Hinata with kids.  If I was an NH fan, I'd feel a tad cheated (though I know most don't care).  I knew a few NaruHina fans/Sakura haters who quit reading Naruto because they truly believed NaruSaku was going to happen.  What a pleasant surprise they must've had!

If Naruto had been meant for Hinata, there wouldn't have been such an intense pairing war.

The only thing we have is that it was Sakura choosing Sasuke, not Naruto choosing Hinata.  Still, it's not good enough to make up for NS being destroyed by NH/SS tagteam with kids.

I could handle one pairing, but BOTH?!

I was in such shock after the spoilers were released that I had also considered a fake chapter being released so that the fans in Japan would not get the ending spoiled by fans elsewhere, but really, who would go through all that trouble to do that?  The ending is what it is unfortunately

Unfortunately I currently agree. Also, at least their "announcement" got spoiled. It was predictable but a small win regardless. Gosh, I sound so petty. Kishi what have you done?

in 699 naruto gives the exact smile of pain which he also he gave when he made that promise to sakura...according to kishi through sai's words,naruto's promise to sakura  only caused him pain because he loved her ..so tell me guys if ss/nh is canon what was the meaning of  those moments?

I think I got like 4 hours myself... but then again like I said, my Grandma passed away this week : ( 

 

What sucks balls about this is I'm feeling like a heartless creep for being more upset about a fictional story. I might not have formed the greatest of bonds with my Grandma, but it's killing me to see my mom basically beat herself up over it, considering she lost her dad when I was still a baby

 

Because secretly, those two kids are Naruto and Sakura, the little girl just had her hair painted black to fool Hinata apparently she just said "Yes Naruto Kun . As for Sarada, she is clearly Sasuke and Karin's kid, Sasuke just put a genjutsu on Sakura to think that that's her kid.

 

 

No seriously, the more you think about this ending the less it makes sense. Might as well just accept the fact that this is the ending Kishimoto wanted for Naruto...the manga he has worked tirelessly for 15 years.

it was written kishis fb account 2 or 3 days before the release of spoilers ...either kishi or his assitant...what im disgusted is the lack of respect for ns fans..the only thing he delivered to  us was an half assed ''sorry'' and an F U in the manga...kishi seems to be a lot like sasuke..and you guys wonder how sasuke got away with so many things?its kishi's view of things we are talking about here..i know it might not be him but the coincidence its too big

Nope, I'm in the same boat. Try to read manga, just think about NS. Try to watch an anime same result. Going to try to watch a live action TV Drama or something but it's not going to be easy. I wish I had some Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes, FitzxSimmons is a pretty fantastic ship

  
Lol yeah, I've tried to read NS stories, but I can't do that without thinking of this garbage, I've tried reading this romance manga that someone posted, but I was like "this is what should have happened" and had to put it down, this ending just ruined it for me for a while.

You can do what I have been doing.  Come up with your own characters in your own fictional universe and make things make sense.  Let people behave the way they should in terms of the way the characters are created.  No fan fiction, just a totally new story that belongs to you.  Luckily I was working on my own stories for fun as it helps me get to sleep.  But I realised it is a really good way to get a way from that troll ending.
 
Alternatively, read the works of authors who cared about their characters and had them behave as they should.  Recommend Lord of the Rings.  Or if you want Japanse read Eiji Yoshikawa's Musashi or Taiko, great books of historical fiction.
 
Or gym.
 
Or punching bag.
 
Or rum.

The sad thing is I was in the middle of an NS fic and had to put that on hold because of this nonsense. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up again in a bit. Rum helps lol I need to get som Kracken. That stuff is good.

It'll be a nightmare for us...Probably it will kitten all over the development that NS had, like the "find a girl like me". I'm sure Kishi will find a common thing between Hinata and Kushina, and for Naruto it'll be the most important  thing. Or the scarf will be like Kushina's hair...or something like that. Or a sudden realization from Naruto... that his love for Sakura was not that strong.

nb is actually quite funny. there was a time (june 2014?) when ns fans dominated the pairing thread and there were barely any nh fan. just ask AHK.
