The chichi argument is just flawed in the sense well look who she tends to act like. Even then when others use DBZ or other series anime or not with pairings that happened, all I can say is That's nice but how does this actually flow back to Naruto? How does this influence the events of the manga directly and make a statement of impact? How does this help prove your pairing or disprove mine despite the fact that these are 2 separate universes which each do their own thing?
If anything I again I keep saying this, SS and NH fans should beware what happened in Avatar the last airbender. Zutara was the most popular, had a similar good girl bad boy set up, it was the original concepted pairing, but it never happened. It was even crushed enitrely due to the korra series, yet fans of that pairing still argue why it should have happened to this day, well lets see what happens when NS hits canon and how long others would argue it. I'm not saying NH and SS are granted to fail (well SS is nearing that, NH may end in friendship), but fans of these pairings should be aware from history, learn the reasons why these pairings failed despite the popularity and conception of it being orginally intended and why it was not, and just like SS right now how as the story is written, SS is impossible and NH would have a hard time. If people blindy follow their OTP then when something against their pairing happens and it "Russles their jimmies" well they should be aware of the weaknesses or obsiticles of their pairing and see if its both logical and reasonable for something to happen for their pairing to make a comeback, look at us, we knew Sakura's feelings for Sasuke and Hinata's position were the issues for NS, not to mention for a time, Naruto's feelings. 469 was a grave moment for us, same with 615, yet there was a reasonable answer at the time, too many loose ends to just call NS dead or done. We needed more info before anything was said and done, we never saw Naruto's feelings towards Sakura or Hinata since then until 631 came around and we saw him saying Sakura was his GF practically reenforcing his feelings for her, until 631 came around, the only notion of who Naruto liked was in shippuden ep 235 and that was a filler but still the only notion at the time. So look at Zutara over the series and how Zuko and Katara progressed, did the story allow them to be better to each other, give them mutual moments, etc? Yes at the end, the final 10 episodes, 1/6th of the entire story was left for this, lets ignore the other 50 episodes where Aang and Katara got a lot of mutual moments. Yet Zutara fans became too overconfident, the finale came, Aangtara was the canon pairing, Zuko ended up with Mai. They argued with it being the most popular and it being originally thought, but after the 08 finale, one of the co-creators simply said, "We tried it, we experimented, we orginally could have built upon it by the way we originally saw season 2 ending, at the original storyborad Zuko would ended joining them but we felt this did a disservice to both Aang and Zuko, all Aang's effort would have gone for nothing and we felt the way we made Zuko a villain in the first half of season 3 would be enough to serve as a plot element for him to join up with Aang later on. Basically Zuko's efforts were better shown with internal strife rather than join up with them all at once, also better to make the fire nation closer to winning the war then actually repeating season 1s ending by having the earth kingdom become overrun in the end of season 2. And thats that, they chose to do the story like this because it felt better to them, that simple, concepts change, popular pairing fanbase size matters not, they knew how much people loved the pairing but did not care. It did not matter, because fans are generally NEVER ENTITLED.
I agree with your point absolutely.
About 615 and 469 , didnt really felt like something to worry about , if you ask me . Back then even i could tell and i was watching the anime *469 -.-.
When Sakura ''faked'' her feelings it was obvious that she has them , but her conviction of convincing naruto to stop chasing after Sasuke was her main flaw...
The one thing i couldnt get back then was - what kind of feelings does she still hold for Sasuke..?
I mean it was so unbelievably obvious that she had fallen for him , but what did she held dear , what was that thing that kept her from killing Sasuke? Former teammate , shared past , shared happiness? Her love for Naruto maybe?
615-- not that much happend there actually , the chapter pushed the plot along and nothing sugnificant orccured when i saw it i thought .. YES! Hinata grew up a little , and then i got disappointed again, because everything again was thanks to Naruto . That was the whole buzzkill . The badest thing in general about it was that Neji's death was turned to a nHina moment..
I think 540 was a chapter to really think about , there was a lot of ambiguedy if i recall correct, the love fodder asked if the man she loved was a great man and Sasuke was the first one to come to her mind ... Naruto was not even in the picture , which was really odd and unexpected, although i still think it will all become clear in the coming chapters..
Btw guys , what opinions do you have about the new chapter ? It is clear as a sunny day that Sasuke wants to kill Naruto, any thoughts what comes in the future battle?
