It is referring to Naruto. The character(?) to the side said characters from Naruto (Sakura & Hinata)
Is this seriously a debatable topic. Like NH fans can try flinging this movie all they want but in the manga canon Naruto loves Sakura. The most recent moment was when he was talking to his father. He called Sakura his girlfriend pretty much.
So yeah to me this is pretty clear. As of right now in the manga Naruto is 100% in love and has been for 700 chapters with Sakura.

Speaking as a man, I can tell you from personal experience that there is a morbid fascination with demure, subservient women that "know their place" and do all they can to please their man.
Sakura defies a lot of tropes. She isn't sexualised, she isn't subservient to the hero, she speaks her mind, she is flawed, she is outspoken, and she is stubborn. That's why she gets hate, and Hinata, the demure pretty girl with a large bust that would do anything for Naruto gets more love.

Yeah I never enjoyed manga like that, the only exception is Ranma 1/2 but it was more of an action/comedy type. (And I loved all the girls)

Honestly I wouldn't give it much credit. But it sure is reassuring to know that a mangaka also expects a pairing resolution in the manga

It is a little reassuring yes, and I'm not going to declare NaruSaku canon yet, but who even creates these?
It's a character would say, really. But feel free to take a hint.
If it's a hint, then we can be more or less sure the romance will be resolved in the manga, right?

Well I have thought that maybe the reason we get NH tease out of the manga is because Kishi wants a surprise. Without the NH tease it would be pretty clear that Naruto would confess. But now some people have doubts. But I will continue to not expect much in the next chapter.

I been lurking for many years as a narusaku fan in the shadows but now I am seeing my fandom in despair and decided to intervene and made a account just to say, have FAITH guys. As far as the trailer goes dont put too much thought into it like others have said this just like the case of RTN and we all know how that went, that was the most pro NaruSaku movie yet and none the pro narusaku scenes were really featured in the trailer. Kushina commenting on naruto trying to look cool for sakura and at the end naruto mentioning going on a proper date and sakura replied "I just went on such a long date with you" to mention a few cause they were so many.
So lets not be fooled by what SP wants us to believe and wait for NS to become cannon its been a long time coming.
