It's possible that Naruto and Sasuke will do the seal and once Kakashi and Sakura sees the moon deactivated, they will go to the location to see who won.

I think that Kishimoto may do NS like this. Actually... NS moment can be the opening scene of the next chapter. Everything is black, Naruto is unconscious due to blood loss, but then he hears a voice. "Wake up!" It sounds familiar. "Naruto! Naruto, please..." He can't tell whether it's pleading or really angry. "If you don't, I'll... go there where you are and beat you to your second death". Definitely angry. "I won't forgive you. You said that you would bring Sasuke back, but..." He suddenly doesn't want to open his eyes, because he's just curious. "But I need you to come back. Come back to me..." He smiles and thus blows his cover. "Naruto! You... you litlle..." "Hey, Sakura-chan, don't be so rough. You should have kissed me, you know..." "Huh?" "I'm the injured hero, so kiss me better..." "Idiot!" Sakura is crying and Naruto is the one to kiss her better.   

 

That would be enough for me.

Knowing Kishi...it really doesn't look like it'd happen. Sorry if that bothered you but....I just wanted to say that, with something as sensitive as NS confession round the corner, its better if we don't get our hopes high. If they are met with.....sure nothing's as good as that....but if not...then there lies the real deal! I'd still say, 'Better to be pleasantly surprised than to get disappointed' I might be wrong though. We can very well get an intensely romantic confession. My apologies if this post bothered you at the very least

First of all, I would like to share you guys how I became a NaruSaku fan since the manga is ending. I'm not a Naruto fan before but when my husband force me to watch it I fell inlove with Naruto and Sakura's relationship funny and cute and more realistic. I even search and read about them especially in youtube Slextrem and Lordofice72 who were defending the Narusaku the most back then.

 

The reason why I'm still positive in NaruSaku until now is because of the theme of Naruto: "Do your Best (especially if you want an acknowlegement", "Keep your Promise", "I never go back on my words", "Never give up" and "don't abandon your friends". 

 

1. he gained acknowlegement from Iruka

2. he gained acknowlegement from konoha people

3. he gained family Team 7 and friends who accepted him

4. became the strongest shinobi

5. he kept his promise for Sakura Chan

6. Sasuke finally acknowledge him

and what's still missing is...

7.-----> to become hokage

8.-----> to make Sakura as his girlfriend. (to have a date with her and a bath with her) 

 

I don't know what Kishimoto's plan about narusaku, but I believe in Naruto's confession. He may put it in manga or in the movie. but it's better if he put it in the manga. He can make Naruto as Hokage or more than that right after or the moment the IT was dispell and all the shinobis wants him to be the leader of all. Kishimoto can make narusaku moment infront of the people like "the hug" scene but it should be more than that.. like confessing infont of the crowd with their friends who knows Naruto love Sakura like Tsunade and her secretary, Lee, Shikamaru, kakashi, Sasuke etc. 

 

Some Naruto fan believes Sasuke is a kitten and he should die and naruto never give up and keep chasing him, but look what it turned out. Finally they became brothers for blood. So I believe Sakura will be Naruto's girlfriend in the end. i just don't see Hinata in any equation to become Naruto's lover. It goes against the Naruto theme.

 

And by the way.. I hope Naruto finds out how he survived on the near death, when Sakura made a CPR to him. Gaara is the witness there. And remember what Gaara said to Naruto in few chapters? After the war he wants to have a drink with him. I hope Gaara tells everything right there.

 

So keep positive. And trust Kishimoto just like what he did to Sasuke. He still following the Naruto theme.

I'm wondering. Naruto and Sasuke can't go anywhere and Kakashi and Sakura are stuck waiting for them to come back.....what exactly's gonna happen? Is there gonna be an OVA moment because its kind of hard to picture that happening right now with Naruto alive and Team 7 waiting for him to come back.

I think Sakura and Kakashi will show up next chapter either they're were already on their way to them ,or they sensed their chakra maybe or something like that, or what 4life said.

 

OVA moment won't be replicated exactly the same. If the NS moment will be like in the OVA, it will be a similar one in 699 or 700. Unless something unexpected happens which is very possible.

It's a bit too grimdark for me...

I prefer Vinland Saga (Thorfinn is getting a waifu, finally ).

Vinland Saga has many themes in common with Naruto, except done better because monthly and no stupid shounen laws to respect. It's a bit of a sausage fest though...

Partly. The bitter truth is... Kishi won't give much space to NS in the last chapters, and the only continuation is a Hinata-centric movie with Hinata as a regular damsel-in-distress. So possible NS there will be eclipsed by Hinata and her problems. In other words, it sucks to be a NS shipper right now. So I'm going to read fan stories and enjoy my pairing being paid attention to,
