Also Sasuke didn't give a crap even about Naruto IMO. He only saw him as a person he needed to kill to get rid of any obstacles. That's not love brotherly bonds or friendship. It's a sadistic rivalry of ex-friends.
I've always hated the sasunaru bromance. >.> I only like Naruto and Sasuke's relationship as a rivalry or blood tie. Their "friendship" sucks ass.

If we took Naruto as simple story it would look like this:

- Main Hero - Naruto, had a goal - to become acknowledged (to become Hokage) it was his main goal, he had a love intrest - Sakura, and rival - Sasuke. After certain point in story - (Sasuke leaving konoha), Naruto's goal changes - now it's retrive Sasuke back, he made promise to Sakura as much as to himself, so he can't reach his main goal if he can't succed in returning Sasuke back.

Sub-plot - make Sakura fall in love with him (because Sasuke only hurt her and Naruto has genuine feelings for her and etc.)

Whole story was about those 2 returning Sasuke back, Sakura would understand what was wrong with her feelings to Sasuke, and fall for Naruto, and Naruto succeding in gaining Sakura's love, and saving Sasuke, then becoming Hokage.

Kishimoto kittened up every aspect of his story, we didn't saw what changed Sasuke, it was "oh well, you kicked my ass, you'll right", kitten, that person half-day ago was ready to start another war against whole world! WTF?

Naruto had his tongue up his ass, and didn't say a word to Sakura? WTF?

How and Why Naruto became Hokage at first place? What is purpose of that title after a decade of war? WTF?

Sakura returned in character development to her first appearence? WTF?

Great job Kishimoto!

God. If only he had done this. (Kakashi here seems to be the MC tho ) 

I'm starting to realise that this manga has more flaws than I thought. Maybe we're more attached to the fact we grew up with it.

It has sure taught us a lot of good things (before they ruined everything), but we were too much idealizing (don't whether saying this is correct)  Kishi's writing to notice that (in my case, anyway) 

 

Well, I sometimes wish Sasuke had never become a member of the team. Team Seven without Sasuke would have been so much better. But this would be my fanfiction, not canon   .

 

As far as canon story goes, Kishimoto had two options. He could have developed Team Seven more and given us better reasons to find all this drama more acceptable. Or he could have made Naruto and Sakura less obsessive towards Sasuke and also part 2 should not have been entirely Team Seven oriented. He did neither !

 

Personally, I wanted Naruto and Sakura to move on from Sasuke. Its fine if they wanted to rescue him but the excessive 'Team bond' bs was just difficult to digest. Sasuke had done nothing to deserve it, plus he had strayed too far from the path of sanity. The redeemed Sasuke should have been left as the leader of Taka. 

 

Team Seven should have ended with Sai as the permanent member because he was a better person & a better friend who understood Naruto and Sakura way more than Sasuke ever did.  

Exactly, that was TOO excessive ! (no wonder why people thought Naruto loved Sasukeeeehh ) 

there was too much Sasuke in part two, that I hated him. 

and I also preferred the part two team 7 ! they were waayy more close to each other, and Sai really tried to become their friend, and to understand their feelings, to help them...Sasuke never did that. 

Plus,he centered the WHOLE story around Sasuke (ah yeah...he's the MC after all) 

Seriously, we know MORE about Sasuke than Naruto. I would love to know more about the Uzumaki clan or whatever.... or the other clans/characters... but they kept showing us flashbacks...flashbacks and MORE flashbacks about The uchiha clan. 

I used to prefer Shippuden, but now, I realize how much part one was better, because it centered more about Naruto's feelings, what Jinchurikis live and their pain, about the difficulty to be a ninja, and be acknowledged by the others when they only see in you a monster.

 

Maybe Kishi should've stick to his first idea.

Maybe he shouldn't have listen to his editors back then; y'know, about introducing Sasuke and Hinata in the story.

Seriously, this got to be the only series I know that the underdog didn't win everything he dreamt. They didn't even make Sakura as a wrong choice. Well, they did in a different way, but movie, they actually blamed Naruto. What the kitten? Really? That's new to me and I saw crap load of series. Unbelievable.

I agree, Failuremoto even failed on that part. He tried to immitate the rivalry between Goku and Vegeta with Naruto and Sasuke, and he failed miserably. Everytime Sasuke spoke I wanted to punch him in the face.

Yeah, but he grew and came out of it, becoming much friendlier, such as when he helped Sokka out to bust out his and Katara's dad from the Boiling Rock, and helping Katara with her closure. Zuko could still be a kitten, yes, but he grew nicely in his redemption. I wish Sasuke had had that much love put into his redemption. I know for my fic, I'll make sure it is that good, or I'll die trying.

There was nothing friendship between naruto and sasuke,only sadistic terrible rivalry.In part 2 he gave naruto a "reason" to go after sasuke,a reason which i'm sure that not even sasuke's parents would go that far.To save him,to redeem him from what ? for what ?,everything sasuke did was his own personal damn business,at some points i was asking naruto why are u bothering him,after all he is going to kill his parent's murderer despite other things unlike u who,no i won't start that.Why are u running after someone who who never had any bond with u ? Sasuke didn't give a damn about naruto at all,he never saw him as a friend or anything,the last minute cooked up story in chapter 698 by kishi,where is it shown in the entire manga? i never saw a single panel of him doing that.Y

 

Whatever,u can try to save a person once,twice or maybe thrice but that's it,especially a rival who tried to kill u several times. and doesn't give a damn about u who is now a terrorist.This whole brother business is another BS story by kishi to include sasuke into the spotlight and give equal or more importance as well as power to sasuke in the hagoromo case.Naruto's story is NOT brother BS but ending the hate of the world,but in the end that became never existed.

 

Yes hashirama and madara were rivals and were introduced in part 1 at the valley of the end but it ends there,nothing bromance/brothers untill war arc came.Naruto and sasuke represent them but that's it,where did this brother stuff come from ? Settling that does not end hate int the world,for that naruto after nagato must learn everything and become hokage and try to solve peace.Not this brother BS/rivalry of two clans.The world is much more bigger than two clans and the wars were between all the countries,people and these two clans were barely a few shinobi's in it.The problem was to understand between countries,people,acceptance,struggle,pain,peace like what nagato said not this brother BS.

 

I swear all this OP and brother BS came from that levitating clown hagoromo,ever since he was introduced in the pain arc i hated him and i was proven right.

 

This Story was about uchiha's and their story settling with their MC sasuke.

 

MC is an uchiha,the villians are uchihas,the so called savior are uchihas(jesus itachi as said by trollmoto),story is about uchiha,powers are about uchiha,focus and screentime is about uchiha,forgiveness is for uchiha,pain is important only in the case of uchiha,win the girl/heroine is for uchiha(obito and sasuke),Only Uchiha's go to heaven(obito) and most importantly the writer is uchiha.Perfect

 

Writing about this stupid story makes me feel stupid.

Oh how they handled him was just so good. No complaints from me.

And, his redemption was character development and not character transformation. Sasuke's redemption sucked, it took like a minute for him to be good again, it was such a mess. I'd wish that the good Sasuke that Naruto was supposed to drag out of the darkness had peeked through sometimes. Sasuke managed to subconsciously show concern for Itachi, Naruto, Taka etc. All while he was "evil". Not once for Sakura, so Naruto brought back a Sasuke that never really existed. ntm, Sasuke had no agency over it. While Zuko's arc was all philosophic and about finding his place in the world, Sasuke had no willpower or control or secret wish to find his old self again.
