As for the panel, I still laugh at the way so many people are taking it. Maybe her statement in 539 ("I'm in love with someone else...") isn't connected to her thought bubble in 540, but even if it is, I really don't see what NH/SSers have to celebrate over. She says she's in love with Sasuke, but then imagines Sasuke as he is now, and looks sick while doing so. Despite what a lot of people here had been saying regarding how Sakura's 100% completely over Sasuke, I still thought her feelings needed resolving. And that thought bubble is a definite step in right direction for us if that's going to happen.
In any case, my strategy right now is to just sit back, relax, ignore the rabids, and watch how this all works out in our favor.

It's to be expected from any side of fandom to celebrate what could be taken as proof against another pairing. We are guilty of the same thing. It's what fandom does. Some are probably more reserved about it than others, but you tend to hear the 'louder' voices and assume this is the voice of the entire fandom. After Sakura's confession, people were claiming NaruSaku canon too, yet even NS remains in it's limbo. After the confession I pretty much assumed Kishi wouldn't put a end to the love triangle until the very end when Sasuke is dealt with, so I'm just going to stick with that. Claiming other ships are dead is pointless as Kishi seems determined to string them all along until the end. As dysfunction as SasuSaku is, it's still there. As underdeveloped as NaruHina is, it is also still there. And since I never liked people trying to claim NS dead, I try not to reciprocate in the same way XD ..which is hard to do sometimes.
