And the chapters have given us very little to discuss as of lately. When we start getting details, then the discussions on chapters will be back to what they should be. Like, who are the mink? Who are they fighting? Why has Oda given furries something to get off to? Find out next time, on One Piece.

No, you just used favoritism. And I would take Luffy challenging the whole world to a fight for Robin over him handing Nami his hat. That holds MUCH more weight and emotion. Although, that's not to say he cares more for Robin. Just that Robin is equal with Nami in Luffy's mind from all that we've seen so far. Luffy cares for every nakama equally. He might get with Nami, but there is no foreshadowing to it. Just hope with no evidence of it's arrival. Even Sanji deep down considers and cares for his nakama equally, even though he is always worshiping Nami and Robin. Hence why he stood in front of Zoro to sacrifice himself instead, and why he went through Hell to get stronger for Luffy. But see, even with Sanji wanting Nami, I can say his relationship with his other crew members is just as emotional and caring. That's because favoritism doesn't blind my insight.

  
I think we can still do it. I go to OPBforums all the time. It's a smaller community, and their tier thread usually has about the same 5 people talking in it, and then others just pop in randomly.

See this is your problem. You're accusing me of favoritism while distorting what I'm saying. I never once said that he cares about Nami more than anybody else. Never once did I say that. All I said was that Nami and Lufy have the bond with the greatest emotional connection, that's a fact. That doesn't mean that he cares more about her than anyone else. Until you understand that, then going forward this discussion is pointless, as the rest of your paragraph tries to address that. You're arguing something that has nothing to do with what I said.

The ranking idea. How does it work?

Basically, if I create the thread, I'd come up with an outline of the relative strengths of characters, and place them on tiers accordingly. For instance, Garp, Sengoku, Whitebeard, Shanks, Akainu etc would all be in the strongest teir, and so on and so forth. And then we'd all be able to judge and discuss characters, and if the place comes to a general consensus about who belongs where, the character were discussing would move up or down.

AHK... my entire post was me replying to that emotional connection. Feelings, emotional bond, whatever. No one member has it better than another in Luffy's heart for anything. Plus, Luffy is asexual.

I don't think that's what Shanks intended for it to be when he gave it to Luffy.

I don't think any girl in One Piece is hated on a lot except for Rebecca. Sure some people hate certain characters, but so what if 0.001% of the One Piece fandom hates Nami or Robin. That's life.

I go back and forth between liking Robin more and then Nami more. I'd say right now I prefer Robin, since she's had more to do, but it could change back to Nami in this arc.

Yeah, the Rebecca hate was noticeable. I do admit, I didn't like her last fallout was help me once again scene. After the tournament ended, she never really got that huge bang, so I thought it was hard to defend her. Oh well.
