This is so like the abused wife syndrome. Sasuke's terrible. An awful, awful person. Naruto's wonderful and stands by her. But what does Kishimoto say? That Sakura would be a terrible woman if she didn't stay with the man who tried to kill her, put her down in front of their peers over and over, and has to show love with a flick on the forehead? It's Sakura's fault? 

 

Why the hell wouldn't she change her heart for Naruto?! Sasuke's treatment of her is all his fault. Yet Sakura's the terrible woman if she leaves him. 

 

You know what, if it goes down this way, then I can see why an active woman would scare the hell out of him, and he had to reduce Sakura to being ultra-passive. 

 

I have to wonder about these comments though, seems like such a strange thing to say a year before the ending. In fact, all of this does. I'm getting so disgusted with the misinformation and the movie leaks and the slamming of Sakura, directly and indirectly. like I said, I'm just ready for this to be over.

 

Who skewers their own work this way and calls it marketing? Who? How is this a good thing?

I wonder if he meant that, after all that she had to put up with, if she stuck with Sasuke through all of that abuse, it would have been weird for something comparatively mundane to be the thing that causes her to change her mind. XD

Q: Although it has been suggested there are two children that he had from Hinata in the last story, I wonder when it was been decided more or less the marriage between Naruto and Hinata?

Agree completely. But what do you mean that this came out a year ago? Isn't this a recent interview? If not, then there is no reason to give the interview any credibility.

If he thought about NH since the beginning why he didn't develop it?
1- he didn't made the decision yet
2- he is a bad writer

 

I'm not sure he was a bad writer, long time ago, before all of asspulls came out, because he could write the developments beautifully. Maybe, long time ago, he didn't actually make the decision yet. And finally he decided to make NH when NS' developments were the greatest, then he turned 180 in a short time.

There is no good message anymore. While kishi never gave up for his wife, he had naruto give up.

Everytime Kishi is interviewed, whatever he says doesn't match what he's done in the manga. Lol, it's really weird. Not too long ago, he also said that Sasuke was pure... Sasuke is not pure. He's been corrupted by a world system that forced his brother to kill their family. He hasn't been "pure" since childhood. And now this thing about Sakura being too severe. In my mind, a manga-ka can do whatever he wants in his story because, I don't know, it's his own story. If Kishi thought Sakura was too severe, why not change her? He is the creator. Plus, it wouldn't feel like an asspull or look OOC for Sakura to change because "a violent woman being tender to the man she loves" has already been built upon. When Kishi says stuff like this, I get the feeling his fans know more about his characters than he himself.

 

Sometimes an author's work is better than the author himself.

 

And sometimes the author can't see what everyone else can, and he f*cks it up in the end. It happens.

 

The Eragon series sort of unraveled at the end. Ender's Game series - author turned out to have some really 'out there' theories on marriages/lifestyles etc. in his later books. There's tons books that have gone this way. It's easy to come up with a gimmick, a story hook. It's much harder to follow through with it.

 

Kishimoto might just be a chauvinist/sexist. There's a lot of growing pains in Japan right now with women leaving traditional passive housewife roles and leading more active modern lives. Kishimoto is old enough that what might have appealed to him in a woman at age 25 might not appeal at age 40. Hence his systematic destruction of Sakura's character more than any other character in the manga.

 

Sakura has always fought for what's right, been fair and determined, and forgiving when she could be. Yet she is picked on and apart most by the fans and even by Kishimoto himself Too severe? Did he have his eyes closed when he wrote all of Sasuke's parts? The guy shoved his hand through her chest? Think that's too severe? Or did Sakura just have it coming to her?

 

If this turns out to be real, then Kishimoto will just be one of many other creators out there whose work is ultimately better than he is. But seeing someone or something's potential doesn't make it a reality, unfortunately.

Man but this sounds like NH AND SS REASONS! SS = Sakura being terrible for not loving Sasuke anymore; NH = Hinata being the right one for Naruto. WHAT THE ACTUAL kitten? No, really, it sounds awful!

LOL this sounds like what NH/SS fans would say to justify their ship and "logically" rid Naruto/Sakura of their feelings....

I know, right? Paired up with how sketchy that respective image looks, I really have doubts these are really Kishi's words ESPECIALLY after he DEFENDED her in front of Takeuchi in regards to her confession. And after that, he STILL makes Sakura be even more considerate, so to speak, towards Naruto whereas he portrays SS like kitten. What the actual kitten? No, really I refuse to believe such thing!

Apparently in the Movie thread someone translated this for me. LOL @ the wording! This sounds like a bad NH/SS fanfic, I swear! Are we sure that page isn't modified? Cause this I'll continue writing Naruto until this summer was what he said in the interview on SI and they never mentioned something like this, so what's going on around here?

 

The interviewer : ” In the prologue, we can see that Hinata & Naruto have two kids. But when did you decide that Naruto & Hinata would be together ?”

Kishimoto : “Quite a long time ago, in fact. But I have to admit there was a time when we did thought about Sakura, you know. I dunno, She might like Hinata but it seems that he doesn't like her so much....  his final laugh about "she would be a terrible woman if she would have changed her heart for Naruto, as expected" tells everything
