From what you say, it appears as though this man is almost looked upon as a single "enlightened" prophet who speaks the certain truths of what Kishi is truly saying and how those around him are responding to his sincerest intentions for the story in the eyes of the diehard NH/SS followers (mostly from Western countries, it appears) and whoever else that chooses to perch him on a pedestal over any other translator's.

 

But not everyone must have heard or are believing what he says if animosity is being emitted in the NB/NF communities over the falsehoods made about Junko's supposed quote to Kishi.  

NH/SS do see him as the bearer of the truth. Some none NH/SS fans know that he is an NH fanboy though who protects his ship. Still like I said he is pretty protected on NF. I'm not an admin there though, so why they protect him so much I don't know. My guess is they think they are stopping more flame wars from the ships... but what they are really doing is giving out false information because he isn't a reliable source.

 

Honestly though you got to pick your battles, and NF is his home ground. Until known Japanese fans challenge him though in some way his word will continue to hold weight. Right now the best thing we can do is stick to good sources and just get the information out there.

True. At this point, I find people like Ramen to be more reliable and trustworthy than takL, and he's technically affiliated with one of the most openly biased Naruto fan websites on the Internet.

If I ever go to Japan, I will buy a house next to Kishimoto's, and everytime he goes to throw out his trash, I will leap out unsuspectingly and yell "AHHH OGGY BOOGY motherf*****!" I will do that for 15 years as payback for the 15 years he took out of mine.

As your hinting at the problem isn't that he supports NH, it's that the love of his ship alters his translation to make NH look as amazing as possible. When a lot of people say they don't understand the western NH/SS fandom... well some of that comes from takl... not all of it, but he is one of the problems. The best we can do is to continue to find good translators. Which is why I hope we continue to make connections with the Japanese fandom even during this late hour.

Well thing is, he was a very trusted translator for a long time. Since like 08/09 or something. Back then everyone was happy and all but once the BS ending came, the bullies revealed their true colors. I always liked TakL but after the ending came out, we ceased to talk as we used to. We kinda lost communication, now he only dwells where the NH/SS otaku's lie, wanking and ganking, always in denial.

That doesn't make takL any less partial. It gives him the appearance of a translation hack more interested in appealing to the interests of the outspoken and crazed than giving thorough, objective English variations of events and interviews with Kishi. 

 

No other translator appears to have as much recognition as takL unfortunately. Maybe it just has to do with him being part of one of the largest Naruto fan communities on the web and his appeal to the majority NH/SS fandoms.
