I think you misunderstood what I meant.  What Sasuke thinks or does is irrelevant.  Sasuke never was boyfriend material, nor did he ever care if he was.

What I was saying is that Naruto has known from Day 1 that Sakura thought Sasuke was "cool" because he was strong, intelligent, and accomplished as a ninja.  We know for a fact that Naruto compared himself to Sasuke constantly back in Part I, and that Sakura's starry-eyed fangirling of Sasuke also spurred him into competing with Sasuke.

Agree but this was way back in part 1. Do you really think Naruto needs Sasuke's acknowledgement to realize the fact that he has become a strong and accomplished ninja..? The whole Shinobi World acknowledges this.

 

Even if it is important, Sasuke has acknowledged Naruto a lot of times. The only person that Sasuke considers as equal to him is Naruto.

 

 

We were even given a more recent example.  When Team 7 were fighting back to back and Sakura commented about Sasuke helping her fight, Naruto jealously reminded her, "I'm here too, Sakura-chan."

Yes, Sasuke managed to get to Sakura first and she acknowledged that. Naruto was jealous, most likely. But what I don't understand is how exactly an acknowledgement from Sasuke would help Naruto?

 

Are you saying it'll be like this-  Naruto will save and redeem Sasuke.  So Naruto keeps his promise hence he can tell Sakura his feelings and let her decide whom to choose..? 

 

 

 

It's just my opinion, but I think you're on crack if you don't realize Naruto has on some level competed with Sasuke in terms of what Sakura finds impressive.

So I am 'on crack' if I don't agree with your opinion. Not sure what to respond to that.

Guys, we have to see Naruto as hokage, and obviously that doesn't happen in this movie. So for sure we're going to see something later in the future in the manga (hopefully).

Guys, this is not a substitute for the movie thread.  

 

We're seeing movie talk, movie information, and movie-related arguments beginning to accumulate here and you need to lay off.  You're exhausting yourselves and the admin team with your inability to stop trying to predict the movie from fragments of information -- some of which may not even be legit.

 

Forget about the movie, and please stop talking about it until that thread reopens.  It seems to me there are plenty of potential discussion points from the manga.

When the trailer comes out on thursday will the movie thread be re-opened so that we can discuss it? because if not i have a feeling it will be pretty much all thats discussed here.

If we have an epilogue in the manga we'll definitely see who Naruto ends up with. That has been a long standing aspect of the story. It's not something that can just be cut for the movie if the manga is planned to end conclusively.

 

I've said it many times, the readers of the story shouldn't need to see some movie in order to understand the complete story of Naruto. Therefore the manga will deliver all the information that it's needed to be known. Anything that happens afterwards is just added bonus, and the romance is not some afterthought bonus, it has been integral to the story.

 

I think people are exaggerating this "Kishi will just troll everyone for the sake of money" idea. Despite his flaws I think the guy loves his story enough to end it as he always intended to from the beginning.

Seriously you guys need to stop with the stuff that happened in The Last thread or this will get locked as well and we'll have NO place to talk about what's happening for NaruSaku. I already think that its ridiculous enough that threads get locked because of talking like this in general, and if it happens again, that'll be bad, especially since the manga is ending and we NEED to talk about this stuff. Everybody move on to a different subject (and not the CD stuff) and stop kicking the dead horse....

If you believe Sasuke has truly acknowledged Naruto as an equal and someone whose opinions and ideas are worthwhile, then why are they fighting right now?

 

Sasuke still believes he alone has the strength and he alone has all the answers.  That doesn't sound like acknowledgement to me.

Getting acknowledgement from Sasuke as an equal will only help in getting Sasuke to come back, not win Sakura.  Naruto wants Sasuke to acknowledge him and his way of thinking -- to be willing to be his friend which, for Naruto, includes embracing a positive life and, you know, not killing him.

More or less.  I've always felt Naruto would need to know he and Sasuke were finally equals -- something he needs from Sasuke -- before he would feel Sakura had a choice.  Maybe that's just me.

It's just an expression and I didn't mean anything serious by it.  Of course you're not required to agree with me.  My opinion is just my opinion.
