I agree wholeheartedly with that.
However, while it is a disgusting thought she might have, I think she was afraid that her friend would end up alone b/c he couldn't move on b/c of her. It's not her right to decide though with whom Naruto should end up (especially with Hinata.)

Best thing she could have done is probably never talk to him again and leave him alone.

SP sure did a good job at inserting their beta-male personalities into Naruto It's such an insult to see how he acts in the movie, then they tried to play it off as "Even Naruto can't surpass a broken heart"
 

Really? I didn't get that vibe. I just saw forced NH/SS moments leaving out things we should have seen. Any Naruto-Sakura interaction was purposefully left out in 699, and it should be obvious why. Why do you think there's so much SS and NH placement in 699? We don't even see Neji's team at his funeral. Neji's funeral!

I got that vibe when Sakura ignored him at vote. That's when it hit me, and the line from the movie supports that. To me at least. I agree that everything was forced though.

Yeah I know . Look at those biceps she even has Naruto's and Sakura's body design combined , facial to hair and the eyes  this girl is the epitome of NS's daughter .

way too much focus on hinata in this movie. naruto feels like a side character in this.

Well it's a good thing I did explain on how the series goes down, down, and down. Otherwise, people would think "Oh he only mad about the ending." Because God knows this work was always a masterpiece until the end. No, it's more of a hassle to go through but can't quit because it's a series that we followed for over 5 years. It's a series that started off strong but began to grow weak as the series progressed and only hit rock bottom by the end. That's why I wrote this LAP in the first place.

But like you, I did feel some parts were going downhill fast, and we didn't get the kind of quality the series deserved, but still, I read because I wanted to see the end of the journey. Too bad it was so piss-poor I just wanted to commit ritual seppuku because of it. T_T

I would have gone for a long time, but I stopped myself because it was going to drag on forever. War Arc discussion was like 1/3 of I wanted to say. But I think I got the major points down.

So Naruto did actually confess to Sakura...and it happened off screen. 

 

Sakura got to confess three times. One time with Naruto and two times with Sasuke. Hinata also got to confess. But Naruto, you know the main kittening character, the one whose name is in the title of the kittening series...His confession happens off screen? Are you kittening serious?!

 

Besides, how would this confession even go down? 

 

Naruto: "Sakura chan, I love you. If I can be with you, I can finally beat Sasu...Err I mean I can finally be happy. Happy like when I'm eating ramen!"

 

Sakura: "Oh Naruto. Please don't lie to yourself anymore. I know you only like me bacause of your rivalry with Sasuke, even though he not even in love with me. After all I know how much you hate people who lie to themselves. I'd hate to see you do something like telling your deceased father that I'm your girlfriend, especially after you berated me for my obviously fake confession. Please Naruto, don't betray yourself."  

 

Naruto: "Yeah, I'm sorry Sakura chan. You saw right through me. As expected, since you are clearly an expert on what true love is. Yep. There was never anything between us except friendship."

 

Sakura: "Exactly!" 

 

Just do us all a favour already and rename this series to Hinata, becuase that's all it is now.
