He couldn't have stomached writing a rejection scene? The real question is why he would have bothered to write a story if he wanted Naruto to be rejected in the first place. Why set up his main character to love the heroine? Why have her change for him, why have other characters point out that she doesn't see Naruto as a simple friend? It honestly feels like Kishimoto changed his mind half way through the story, and now he just so happens to have a new movie out featuring the hero falling in love with the most popular girl in the series. Incidentally, movies also make a lot of money.
Yeah, the only explanation is that he sold out. He completely changed his mind, and it made no sense at the end. He should feel ashamed.
I cant even stomach reading or watching any Naruto anymore, like I cant even look back at chapters. I was such a big fan but that ending really ruined the rest of the series for me.
So I am done with Naruto. It makes me really sad to say that because I was obsessed, I really was but now I cant feel anything towards it except disgust.
