If he had meant "a friend who happens to be a female", Sakura wouldn't have butted him. Unless she was furious about Naruto hiding their intimate relationship from his father... Either way SS nd NH shippers lose this battle.

Well for me it is. I always new Sakura would always be deeply concerned about Sasuke. She's still attached to him, that's why she's beautiful, and that's partly why Naruto loves her.

I don't think she headbutted him for saying he was kind of her girlfriend I think she did it because he answered a question that was directed at her, hence why she told him to be quiet and didn't deny it like she did before.

 

Ofcoruse Kishi did that because he wanted to keep Sakura's feelings for Naruto ambigious and made an excuse to keep it that way (same with 540) which i still don't get because he already confirmed she was in love with him back in the Sai arc and then there was the confession afterwords and now he set it in stone with the find someone like your mother (Sakura) comment

No, she wasn't confessing.

 

The whole point of everything she was saying was that no matter what she isn't able to do anything for him despite how much he means to her and how badly she wants Team 7 to be back together. There was no confessing involved.

So you are saying if for some crazy  stuff Sasuke would have accepted Sakura has to be with by force? what would happen with Naruto?

Oh God. So let's clarify for everyone, Sakura still loves Sasuke, however it's not romantic anymore. She loves him as Naruto loves him, for God knows what reason.

At least that's why I understood from the translations of the raws. But at this point who the hell knows.

I think this chapter is supposed to represent the final stages of Sakura finally getting over Sasuke for good. I will say say that it's a little annoying that Kishi keeps on dancing around the main issue, but hopefully he'll get around to it.
