We can only hope that some guy from the financial department came in and said. "Hey this movie is going to be huge, spare no expense, borrow the money if you have to, people will love knowing how Naruto and Hinata got together. Come on guys, we have a hungry tiger to feed."

How? The anime/manga industry is still a fringe market for the most part in Western countries. Many of those who do take an interest in that media form acquire it through piracy on the Internet. Pierrot is deluding itself if they believe that countries like Australia, Mexico, and the US are going to become enormous sources of wealth and success for their franchise.

I think they've taken that into account which is why its being released in the US in February as opposed to all the NH fans waiting an entire year until it leaks online

They're trying to combat piracy with early releases

The movie is only successful if it manages to overcome its price of production. I recon the price of production for the last was quite high, RTN was made with 220 yen and had sh*tty animation, the last has a top animation, famous Va (Toneri AKA lelouch), big marketing process , and a lot of other things.
I recon that for the hype that was established in the begining of the marketing process, SP must be quite dissatisfied with a sixth place in its second week and also with the bad reviews by fans from everywhere

Yeah, it's a wonder how much this, plus all of that adversisment they did cost. Hell, there's been at least six trailers for this stupid movie, while RtN only had like three.( not even counting the billboards, cut out signs, having the characters posted on some restaurant wall, and having a mobile truck drive around with movie ads, and more.)

All of this has got to cost a pretty penny, when you add it to the animation, staff budget, and everything else. Given the fact that the Last is being rated as the worst Naruto movie, Kishi is talking out of his ass, and many of the fans are showing nothing but disgust for it, make it seem more likely that this movie will not profit as much as SP thought.

"ok update time o3o…so far i have knowledge on what this whole new chapters are about…i did attend however 2 meetings where i live at to go around japan and eat at random ramen shops so thats why i was absent xD but i did get to hear a lot of things, i did hear about the jump fest…i heard from people in the yokohama region that they hated the movie though, did not like what they saw at all and wish they had gotten refunds. There was toys of naruto in toys r us in the atsugi area but lately there has been none. i did ask where they were at and a nice gentleman told me that they will not sell them anymore until later January. I at first thought they sold out but come to find out, it was not selling as much like youkai watch WHICH BTW i bought so much of that shows stuff for my son <3. I am at the moment though getting updates from someone who knows about a episode airing soon about sakura and naruto filler that is suppose to be shown during the war episodes that will show sakura basically telling naruto ahead of time she never lost love for sasuke and something else but that is all i have so far oAo…i do have pics however so will post those soon."
