Is it still possible to debate with NH based on the canon manga that is ?
 
I guess their only sound argument at this point would be the fact that there is still a chance for Kishi to give in to fans pressure and change his mind at the last minute...
They can't possibly deny the development is all in favour of NaruSaku.

Dunno about them as a whole, but the last one I talked to felt the manga supports NH. IDK exactly how, but I didn't want to argue, especially because they were pleasant about it.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too but I'm hearing most of everyone here that the epilogue is set a few years after "the last"

To me that quote about going beyond the original work means that the manga will always stand on its own. You won't need to watch a movie to finish the story or understand it.

The reason I say that the movie doesn't matter to the manga is because we've never had to watch anything animated to understand the story in the manga. What's written, drawn and published is the only thing that is canon.

An Epilogue does mean a time skip. It may be a few days, months even years. Epilogues are meant to be a type of closure.

 

A few years after the manga would mean that everyone would be grown up and we could see the characters with their own families.

It's not like it's bad lol it would be good to see something like that eventually it's just with still so many left in the open questions left with the manga left and it's nearing it's end, it feels like it's rushing the end too much and it wouldn't feel right for an "epilogue" to happen right now...

then that was veru good for me

but since it is a manga ...there are many manga only fans who expect epilogue in manga


Moreover, the movie is as much canon as RTN ...that promo material suggests so..

so viewers all over the world may be pissed of, freaked out and if it's Naruto shipping Fandom, then definitely yes


also if movie contains NH/NS/SS


rival shippers will no longer be interested IF he really becomes hokage

- How Naruto fell in love with Hinata or

- How Sakura fell in love with Naruto

 

I don't kow how to think about it. This new info sounds like there's "so much new stuff to tell", while in NS case, therei isn't ... really that much.

 

Like: "I hadn't time to develope NH in this 15 years ongoing manga - so i'll do it in this kitten movie."

 

On the other side, it would be the most stupid asspull ever - for what purpose making Naruto in love with Sakura then?

One thing I've noticed is that, Hinata hasn't been mentioned or heard of since 677. That was 20 chapters ago. It would just seem really odd for her to be absent for that long, but still manages to get with Naruto in the last chapter? Even for Kishi, it doesn't seem right. A couple of years from now, some people aren't gonna know that there's a movie that functions as a bridge between 698 and 699, and if The Last is supposed to tell us how Hinata ended up with Naruto, they couldn't possibly comprehend how NH became canon and I think Kishi is aware of this.
