I don't know what to say anymore. It seems more people are putting stock into the movie than the manga. Now I know why the movie thread got closed.

Now that the blank timeskip in the manga is confirmed true we should get a canon pairing or at least a hint in the next 2 chapters.I am keeping my fingers crossed for a NS moment.Everything depends on what Sakura does in next 2 chapters

That's right, but if nothing actually happens, we'll have to worry about the movie in which NH has already been teased like hell. Not really good times for us... but if you have faith in Kishi's sanity I guess you don't have to worry.

Hyuugas are known for being kidnapped.

Female Hyuugas at that. They don't really give off the 'strong woman' vibe.

if someone tried to kidnap Sakura, she'd just punch them and send them flying miles out of the village

 

This may be killing two birds with one stone for Kishi.

1. Focus on the Hyuugas. (Whom he apparently hyped as one of the more powerful clans in Konoha, so he's giving the attention they didn't have before.)

2. Confuse have people get confused about pairings and make them really wonder who will be with who and keep us guessing until the end.

 

The fact that SS hasn't been teased at all gives me the feeling that SS truly is dead.

That's right, but if nothing actually happens, we'll have to worry about the movie in which NH has already been teased like hell. Not really good times for us... but if you have faith in Kishi's sanity I guess you don't have to worry.

*sigh* I'll say it again, the same thing happened with road to ninja with the ss and nh stuff, that was advertised way before the movie came out before any ns stuff was revealed and before we knew the actual plot or continuity of the movie, and now its basically happening again with a watered down version of the same marketing strategy, you're probably worried over nothing, I'm being serious here  0.0 and in case you say it, there were articles with sketches and advertisements too for road to ninja, teasing us the same way as this movie is, road to ninja was much worse than this, and do you really think if kishi made a movie full of the naruto and sakura bond and kept pushing moments between naruto and sakura every time it looks like hinata got a moment with naruto, that he's just gonna out of nowhere do the opposite of how his story has been portrayed? I highly doubt that, plus how do you know this would be even still considered shonen after that if hinata did get naruto? 0.0

Read the new summary and well, it's irritating how they push that love thing :

 

1) it could mean no resolution in the manga, which is a scam

2) delaying the whole resolution for 3 years, makes Naruto a pussyfooting nancy-boy not deserving of the bubblegum queen.

3) delaying the whole resolution for 3 years, makes Naruto an a**hole toward Hinata

4) NS being the main focus of the movie with Hinata on the front line to assist to it is uneedlessly cruel

5) Same if the situation is reverse with Sakura in Hinata's shoes.

6) basically, retarded love triangles are evil and I hate it, especially one as artificial as this one

7) A little girl is in danger, it's not the right moment for romantic development, get your priorities straight, ninja people.

The fandom is always freaking out someway when I wake up O.o. I guess I'm not alowed to sleep anymore because I'm seriously praying that nothing was realeased in the night that makes people flip their tables. That's so sad.
Apperantly the last will be playing before the epilogue and will strongly focus on Naruto's love life. So some(not all) are being worried or negative about NS becoming canon cuz Kishi can make NH canon in the epilogue and the movie tells how it happens.
I think that's bunkers. But hey, we'll see soon enough.

I hope I can say this (because this isn't the movie's thread after all) but I think that the movie will revolve about NaruSaku and by making the Hyuugas relevant, it's a way to make Hinata accept that fact and maybe find a new goal then be with Naruto. 
Because with only two chapters left, by which one will be epilogue material, it's kinda unlikely to make Hinata see that way when she just wakes up from her lovely dovely dream. That movie may be her closure. It's not impossible and WAY more likely than smashing a NH ending in the manga with no sense and shwowing how it was done in the movie, when we have so much more relavant and deep material with Naruto and Sakura. That how I see this if there is suppose to be any logic left in my beloved manga. And I believe there is (So NH canon can stay a fanfiction.)

Also, something I don't get is, why the hell would Kishi want to pair Naruto with a girl he has hardly known throughout the whole manga, hasn't been with him through thick and thin, is not the girl he has always wanted, and leave Sakura still loving Sasuke even though he doesn't give a kitten about her? This would have to be a completely new level of kitten from Kishi.

No. The only way to give Hinata closure regarding NH would have been to have Naruto reject her, and if it only happens 3 years after Hinata confessed, then it just makes Naruto looks really really bad.

It's better to let it unanswered at this point, and consideres Naruto knew Hinata knew he won't ever like her.

 

If not, it looks like Naruto keep the titty girl around  in case Sakura never answered his feelings. You know, as a consolation prize.

 

Naruto may be a bit of a Mary Sue that can force his naive beliefs on people, but he has never been a cruel manipulator or someone whose cowardly behaviour hurts people, because he can't take a decision.

 

Don't depict him this way, pls Kishi, it's OOC.

Oh no, I agree. Kakashi's words did give off the impression of it being platonic. My point is that there's just so many different translations and different interpretations you can get from that one scene that it can't be definitely decided what it meant by some people. And because of that, we have people who think NS is dead or one-sided and will not be comforted on it unless they hear it from Sakura herself.
 
You can't help people like that. They just need absolutely solid information.

You could argue everything comes down to translations. A good amount of time was also invested into the "girlfriend/ girl friend" comment, remember. There are people in the fandom that will deny everything, even if it's spelt out to them.

Being a natural pessimist, I can say that I cannot guarantee that narusaku will become canon. But I think the fandom is doing itself a disservice if they write off everything that doesn't come from the horse's mouth as a "translation error".
