i dont think naruto is obsessed with sasuke...i just think his unwillingness to give up makes him seem obsessed. I mean thats just who naruto is. and im sure if naruto had to choose between sakura or sasuke to live, he'd for sure pick sakura.

sasuke is just the one lost thats why hes paying more attention to him trying to get him back for his team and himself. but right now sakura is safe so he doesnt have to worry about her. that doesnt mean he cares any less though. the girl you like and your brother are 2 different things.

Thats a VERY good point I mean I have a have a brother,two brothers in fact(if you didn't already know) and I honestly see myself being like Naruto if they went missing or ran away from home or doing something of the sort like Sasuke

Does anyone else think that Hinata would feel like Naruto's number-two choice? I mean assuming NaruHina comes true, it would be too unnatural since Sakura actually cares about Naruto and doesn't push Naruto to love Hinata. Even the confession and the part with 'I hate people who lie to themselves' doesn't convey the impression that Naruto would chose Hinata just because Sakura said those things.
But Sasuke does indeed push Sakura drastically to love Naruto and that's why Naruto wouldn't feel like Sakura's number-two choice. If anything Naruto would feel sympathy towards Sakura for being hurt by Sasuke.

Yea that makes sense, its just like if its not conveyed properly some might THINK Naruto is Sakura's second choice, but looking at it If it is nh then Hinata would clearly be Naruto's second choice.

Yeah I know. Of course it's mainly because of their time together etc. but Sasuke does actually play an important role. He's the cupid for hurting Sakura and thus destroying her feelings for him. Naruto has to 'comfort' Sakura and get the chance to save her and proof her that he's the one she's looking for^^

That's because she couldn't have known beforehand that Sasuke would become a traitor, who's obviously obsessed with power. As soon as NS comes true Naruto won't feel like a second choice mainly because he has always loved Sakura for caring about Sasuke. Naruto actually wants to see Sakura caring about Sasuke till the end. That's what drives Naruto to be just as faithful towards his love interest as Sakura is towards Sasuke. I kinda see it from Naruto's and not from Sakura's perspective, so even if Sakura egoistically turns to Naruto it will be alright as long as she doesn't give up hope till the 'end', which should leave no openings for SS or NH^^

Either way Sakura would have eventually fallen in love with Naruto, she was sporadically starting to realize who Naruto actually is and sasuke never like sakura so at some point you gonna get over, in this case it was just sooner rather then later.

Actually you could make the argument that even though sasuke is a traitor Sakura still has feelings for him (chapter 540) so being a traitor or not hasnt changed anything, but in due time she will find herself falling in love with Naruto.

well sometimes the first person you fall in love with isnt the person thats right for you. sometimes you have to move on and the next person which could be better and make you happier. who cares about second choices. what i dont like is when ppl say "well if hinata is naruto's second choice then naruto is sakura's second choice also" cause theres a difference. sakura was hurt by sasuke and sasuke never cared for her that way at all. so its only natural for sakura to feel unwanted and move on. while naruto had sakura always backing him up through think and thin so him moving on to hinata would be like a second choice....do ya get me? Yes exactly, because Sasuke is so evil you can't even say that Naruto would ever be a second choice. Especially if Naruto is the one to approach a depressed Sakura. I hope Sakura just stays the way she's now. Then Naruto can just be the hero and save her or cheer her up.
But Hinata would definitely be a second choice, if she's not the one to approach Naruto and cheer him up. But that will never happen because if Sasuke dies then Naruto will comfort Sakura and if he doesn't die Hinata won't have a reason to cheer Naruto up.
