Two chapters and still felt lacking somehow, The first chapter ended on what might be considered a cliffhanger but the manner in which cliffhanger are dealt with, you expected Natsu to arrive before the spell was completed, just like he did all those years ago, atleast they acknowledge the fact they'd done the same thing before. There is no drama in the cliffhangers anymore.

 

So is this movie part of canon or a filler?

If the chapters felt lacking it's because for upteenth time this revolves around what I call the "Iced Shell", joke with Gray threatening to kill himself (for the greater good trollololololol) And Natsu stopping him as the PUNCH LINE!

Hiro has always showcase this since Rave Master, and more so then Kishi could ever do, I love how Hiro foreshadows something so early on, and then later on you get a pay off and it feels great, the same thing could be said about Fairy Tail.. The Dark Guilds for example:

 

 

 

 

 

All we get is a mention that Tartaros was mentioned as a dark guild in Chapter 132, and chapter 354 we get a little tease of Silver one of the members of Tartaros appear a couple chapters before their arc takes place.

 

 

 

 

Another great foreshadowing tool was the whole Zeref and Natsu meeting in chapter 208:

 

 

 

Technically you could say the connection between these two can be traced back to Chapter 200, but even after the grand magic games when he and mavis met, He always mentioned that their reunion will happen soon.. and then Chapter 436:

 

 

 

 

The pay off for sure was great I mean prior 436 I wondered like if they were friends before it be a bit cheesy for Zeref, but Hiro flipped the switch and made Zeref Natsu's older brother, which Holy SHHIITT added more layers than he already had. Which is also why I'm really looking forward for what's to come in the manga between the two, and above all the plot points Zeref and Natsu connection is one of the few that Hiro doesn't around with. 

 

 

 

I've known about this one for a long time, so when I did a little digging into the whole E.N.D. theory I remember coming across this: 

 

 

 

 

I think this was the chapter 1 color page, but underneath Natsu and the Fairy Tail logo were three letters:  E.N.D.  

 

which to me means Hiro has had that whole idea of Etherious Natsu Dragneel planned out since the beginning, and then the bombshell came in Chapter 416 (the final chapter in the Tartaros Arc): 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's why I still believe that E.N.D. isn't necessarily over yet, and we're gonna get more of him which I think will happen since Natsu and Zeref are about square off from the way the latest chapter 523 played out.

That's why I like him more than kishi his twists are better and did like that foreshadowing too especially with zeref and natsu. Which I want to know more about these before natsu died like what kind of brother zeref was to natsu. I mean he seems to care alot about natsu despite his curse. Still better than sasuke and itachi. Wasn't raven tail part of the dark guild alliance.
