Hey people lets not have negative thoughts on this thread
It is not really a negative fault, as I clearly said that I still believe NS will happen and everything I was speculating could be due to the power of the marketers. I'm just posting up observations I have notice... If it makes people feel any better, the initial trailer also possible gave NS hint, sooo..... Naruto and Sakura may have role together in the Last, which is apparently about a love story... Sooooo...........

From me on NarutoForums
"Pestering" someone by saying that the person is sorta your girlfriend to your dead dad is an old tired joke with no indication of romantic feelings? What the actual kitten?
Just take a look at all these kitten excuses:
From DarkHope on NarutoForums
Jesus christ.
In that entire chapter Kishi was revisiting the old Team 7 dynamics. It's then shown that Naruto was joking in the very next chapter when he says "I won't ever poke fun at Sakura-chan again".
It then is completely negated in chapter 691, because Naruto tells the truth.
The raw says this:
「オレってば今日17歳になったばっかだから酒も女もまだよく分かんね!
ただ母ちゃんは母ちゃんみたいな女を見つけろって言ってたけど…
それは… えっと… とにかく!
母ちゃんの言った事全部うまくいってねーけど!
そこそこガンバってたんだ!」
"I’ve just turned/became 17 today, so I still don’t know much about either alcohol or women!
Though mom’s told me to find a girl like her, but…
That’s… errrr/umm… anyway/just!
Not all the things mom told me are going well, but!
[I’d say] I’ve been doing my best!”
Note: Naruto uses 頑張ってた [ganbatteta] which means to do your best/to work hard. He also uses そこそこ [sokosoko] which is a somewhat odd way to phrase the sentence; it means reasonably/fairly well/or so/about depending on context. Yes, that is why context exists. ;)
The word “great” is not used, so I’m not sure why MP translated it that way. Kushina’s original words do say for Naruto to try and find a girl “like her”, and so this pretty much mimics that.
The statement is a bit vague, but again that is why context exists to help guide the reader. It seems like Naruto is actually trying to change the subject when he says それは… [Sore wa…] えっと… [etto…] とにかく [tonikaku!]. Kind of like “Yeah, about that… ANYWAY!” He then goes on to say how not everything is going the way mom said. This line is delivered right after the woman statement.
We can safely say that one of the things not going as planned is Naruto finding a woman like her, especially because he did not expand on it like he did with the rest. It doesn’t mean Naruto hasn’t found a woman in general, because he is talking about Kushina’s words specifically. The correct and logical way of looking at it is “Naruto has not found a woman like Kushina”.
Sakura has been paralleled to Kushina, right? You guys love to use this argument. BUT, this chapter states that Naruto is acknowledging Sakura is NOT his girlfriend, because she (nor anyone else) is not referenced. That also validates the argument even more that Naruto was playing around/joking in chapter 631. The truth came out here, and he did not say that Sakura is his girlfriend (and the woman like his mom that he found). In my opinion, if Naruto was so in love with Sakura, she would have been referenced in some way; he was never shy about his feelings in the past. She wasn’t brought up at all.
Before you bring this up: “Naruto doing his best” does not translate to “I’m doing my best to win Sakura over”. That’s incorrect. All he says is そこそこガンバってたんだ!”[I’d say] I’m doing my best!” He’s just working hard in general, and acknowledges that not everything his mom told him will happen, being with someone like his mother is included in that. So, Kushina’s words are no longer (not that they really ever were) a good argument for pro-NS fans. Kishimoto is openly declaring with this scene that there are other possibilities out there; Naruto may not end up with a woman like his mom (temper/personality wise). The statement also does not specifically say he has done the opposite of her words, but it’s possible that could also happen (again, context!). Then there is the possibility Naruto will end up with no one.
This is the type of mental gymnastics that come from the NH fandom to try and counter any logical notion that Naruto hasn't moved on from Sakura. Does anyone want to try and make sense of this crap?

EXACTLY!!!! And the one thing that's got me wondering about this is that One. Freaking. Page. Saying "5 Weeks To Go Till The SHOCKING END"!!!
All we know is that Kishi said that the manga is ending and that he would end it conclusively. Also, he has said that if Naruto were to be Hokage, it would be the last thing he would write about.
I don't know if it was Kishimoto or one of his assistants that suggest to put that there but whoever it was it was someone that knows the Mother Lovin' Ending!!!!
We've all known since the beginning and through reading 700 chapters worth of a story of how this manga will end....... And That's Naruto Becoming The Hokage!!! It Wouldn't Be Shocking To Us At All!!! So this ending, whatever it is they are hinting at, sounds like it won't be of Naruto becoming the Hokage which is to every Naruto fan out there know that is NOT the definitive End of the story!!!
.........pant.....pant.....pant.....god that was a lot to get off my chest!!!!

consolation prize? you think they'll settle for that?
They will say "now, when sakura kitten do something wrong, naruto will finally realize that his place is with hinata and they will make babies! just wait! he will cheat on her! or sakura will cheat on him with sasuke!"
that's almost a copy-paste from what zutara fans said

while my faith in NS has been shaken a bit, i refuse to believe that he moved on from Sakura, in the manga anyways, I cant trust that movie though, it seems like a bad excuse to make a pairing canon regardless if it had development or not.

If Minato asked Hinata that was his girlfriend, NH fans would say "OMG Minato approves of NaruHina." What a bunch of Hypocrites.

Marketing and speculations were done so that they could raise doubt. And it appears to be working on some of you.
But why? To makes more curious about the film, thus makes us want to watch it more? If Hinata is really that popular of character, then why could they just advertise just role in the film? She seems to be important in the film not matter what, so why give indications of a romance with Naruto on the CD cover? Especially since they are advertising this as a love story? Narusaku is still somewhat popular (they freaking have festivals about the whole pairing in Japan), so I'm sure they could advertise some Narusaku to bait fans to come watch, while the same time also marketing Hinata a lot in other promos like trailers or posters?
Either way it doesn't really make sense, at least to me, if they just want the largest amount of fans to just pay and watch the film when it comes out. Though to be fair we really haven't gotten much advertisement from the film, it is just this whole thing is kind of confusing. RtN was very pro-NS, that made a lot money still despite the cheap ploy in luring Hinata and Sasuke fans. So I can't see them seeing the correlation between RtN's success, in both money and fan's opinion, with Naruto and Sakura's main roles in the film...
I'm saying...... this marketing strategy is confusing to me.

Exactly we don't want people to get mad at what they don't like
