That CD cover doesn't look romantic in the least. I'd like to think people in love would be happy, lol. It has to be Naruto's love. Naruto's the main character, he can't be foreveralone in his apartment. All other love cases in this story have been resolved/concluded in the manga to some extent. Honestly, if that were the case, why so much NS interaction? Kishi could have easily skipped over every single moment of NS but he didn't. SP are Hinata fans, and because they're Hinata fans they're ultimately NH fans too. They're just trying to hype up her character for the movie, we're okay.

It's just depressing thinking that this ship may actually sink within the next few weeks or when the movie comes out, because even though I know that based on Kishi's writing the only logical pairing is NaruSaku, things may just not end favorably especially considering the fact that I didn't expect Hinata to have so much relevance in this coming movie. There's no way I can say for sure that this pairing is going to happen.

If the translation is true, it says Uzumaki Naruto's last story is love. Which is as specific as you can get lol

Well, if they aren't interested in spoiling pairings before having confirmation in the manga the trailer will not have anyone being lovey-dovey. Maybe show people talking to each other about this and that but nothing obvious.
 
Even if 698 confirmed pairing (I think it will be in 699) that chapter comes out officially this Saturday, so it's content would have no influence in what's shown in the trailer we'll get this Thursday.
 
I do expect seeing scenes with Naruto and Hinata together in a non explicit way. After all, Hanabi has been kidnapped so I would expect Naruto to let Hinata know that he'll do everything he can to get her sister back.

NS being canon largely leaves Hinata with no relevance to the story despite being popular so this part of the plot makes a ton of sense to me.

I think what Elicit is trying to say is don't get ahead of yourself and declare a pairing is canon before the chapter comes out (which is exactly what's happening right now).

Ok hold up.....there is something bothering me regarding everything you guys are saying about the end of the manga and the movie....

The ones who are saying that the movie is "the last story of Naruto Uzumaki" or the movie will "settle all unsettled issues, mainly love" are editors and reviewers who don't know the complete plot of the movie but write what they speculate based on information that they have been able require right??

And the producers and creators of "the last", who know the complete layout and plot of the movie" say the same that this is "the last story of Naruto" right??

But how could they know that without knowing the "Ending" of the actual manga.......who Kishimoto is the only one to know about?? I would find it hard to believe that kishimoto would reveal how the manga ends to anyone, despite it being important to the movies plot, and get rid of the surprise and excitement of it all...

I'm just saying that from reading where the story is at now it's hard to believe or trust what anyone advertising the movie saying it's "the last and final story of Naruto Uzumaki" without knowing what kishimoto will put in the final pages of the manga...

Come to think of it....... And I don't know if I'm right or wrong about this.....but I have never heard from kishimoto himself saying this is "the last story of Naruto Uzumaki" very recently in the past few months. (And I'm not including that time from last year or somewhere in 2013 when he said he was ending the series soon and he go have a honeymoon with his wife because a lot of changes can happen from then till now )

I know he has said the manga is ending.........but I've never heard him saying it was the end of Naruto Uzumaki's story.....

 

All we know is that Kishi said that the manga is ending and that he would end it conclusively. Also, he has said that if Naruto were to be Hokage, it would be the last thing he would write about.

Elicit stop... this is the reason why the movie thread was closed. Please. :/ Whatever happens, I would like to think most of us are Naruto fans first then NS fans. If it does go down that route then there's nothing we can do. Hinata is a hyuga. This guy is most likely a hyuga. Kaguya has the byakugan, and we all know how important she is to the shinobi history. Chill, it should have been expected to see more backstory on the hyuga clan given the Kaguya arc. Her sister was kidnapped, of course she's going to be relevant. Her role in the movie will be a big one, but it won't overshadow team 7. Hinata being more important than Sasuke? Sakura? Kakashi? Nope. This new villain could very well be connected to Kaguya. Maybe the seal broke via the ninja tools Ten-ten found. Let's be positive and hope for the best.

I take the movie with a grain of salt. The only thing that matters to me is the manga. And I said it before and I'll say it again. No mangaka who's worked on a project in print for over fifteen years is going to let his story be finished in a movie. He will finish his prized creation himself.

Before I say anything more, I just want people to know that I do believe that NS is still endgame. The current situation in the manga makes it almost completely impossible for SS to happen at this point, and Naruhina seems too illogical. Taking into consideration that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke could very easily change with just transpired between the two, it is really hard for me to imagined to not happen (which still could be the case).

 

However my main issue with this the Last being a love story is the fact that the CD cover has been the only indication of what kind of romance is going to be displayed in the film. While I understand why you personally view it as not being romantic (which may turn out to be true), however theres a reason why so many of us panicked when we saw it. It was because we viewed as a romantic setting, and that was no doubt a coincidence by the marketing. A facebook friend even posted the CD cover on her wall, due to the fact that she thought her ship sank. She thought her ship NH was done for until that cover was poster, and she is a smart and logical person. 

 

Though it is ridiculous to say a pairing is canon from a CD cover (if that was case then NS or Naruto + Random girl in the movies) would be canon as well. Yet seeing that this film is "suppose" to be about love, and that goddamn CD cover is the only thing that even remotely foreshadows any kind of romance in the film, we are at the mercy of marketers. The speculations don't help the matter.

 

Sooo yeah... Still think NS is going to happen, but the stupid timeskip after the end of the manga and the marketing of the Last is certainly trying to make things feel more doubtful... and I don't know why... It's dumb...
