Difference is that Dragonball Z wasn't entirely dedicated to Goku. Much of the conflicts and the narrative centred around other characters. It distinguished itself from Dragonball which you could condense into the simple phrase "Goku time" (won't lie, I'm something of a Gohan fan myself, but that's beside the point).

 

Aside from a few divergences like with the Itachi Pursuit, Invasion of Pain, and Kage Summit arcs, the Naruto manga was dedicated to and revolved around Naruto's character, his tribulations, his desires, and the experiences of his life. Sure, the emphasis on teamwork allowed for other characters to shine, but it was still ultimately Naruto's story. That's how the manga was supposed to end before Sasuke took up the narrative and stole his traits, his love, his personality, and everything else about him besides the final attainment of the Hokageship.

 

The ending and film already put off a sizable number of people from continuing to read/watch the series or support Kishi ever again. To take it one step further by announcing a new series focused around the spawn of a relationship that was largely treated as a fringe concept with a girl whose mental capacity only extends to bemoaning about her object's name while pretending that everything that occurred previously in the manga should hold no meaning only insults the intelligence of the readers. It makes them feel even less inclined to support burrito spawn since his entire existence is founded on a mound of lies, assassinations, and inconsistencies.

Seems like Kishi did nothing good with his series. Funny how he wrote a series on why shouldn't wars happen and how it should be avoided but he ended up starting a war halfway round the globe. Its not even a war anymore. Its like....virtual warfare!!! Exchange of hate, insults, how one is better than the other, how one makes sense and the other doesn't. Honestly, don't these fantards have any life other than shipping business? What's their problem if NS fans want to post fanarts or anything like that? They have their ship canon shoven right into their asses so what's the big deal? Not even able to take a fanart? That tells me that deep down....they are not satisfied with the ending and they knew that their ship was a wreck! Somehow due to Kishi they spawned back to win. They still know that Sakura is irreplaceable and apparently that's why they get jealous when they see her with Naruto. Such exchange of hate over a fanart. Fanart of what? Of a pairing....which doesn't even exists! if they cannot admire the beauty of the art, then seriously....HATS OFF to these fucktards. If you cannot offer two words of appreciation for the art, you've got absolutely no rights to criticize it. Puny whiny little asses....NHtards and SStards. Worse than 5 year olds.....

Naruto — the story centered around ending wars and bringing harmony to their universe — ends up leaving carnage and hatred in its wake. Hatred for the the story, the characters, the author and animators, and the rest of the fans.
