Is everyone still hung up about 693? Kakashi has already explained that Sakura simply wants Sasuke by her side, NOT make him hers. Which, in his opinion, is not much to ask for.

In that sense, Sakura's "love" for Sasuke is not that different from Kakashi or Naruto's. However, her words fail to make any impact on him because their "bond" is hardly existent.

As I said in my last post, the chapter's still debatable. Being by her side is vague and could have romantic connotations.

 

At the very least, no one is going to be entirely relieved unless Sakura makes it totally clear what she meant by "I love you". Not a debatable third party.

Sakura was cheering for Sasuke, and in these last chapters she seems like she's sad, or worried about Naruto? Oo

I don't see the point of making three people state that Sakura doesn't have any romantic interest in Sasuke at all without it turning out to be true. Doesn't make sense at all :confused:

It seems to be sad that Kakashi's commentary must be ignored. Kishimoto probably just wrote it in to take up space.

In that sense we should ignore everything other characters say as well - forget Yamato's "it's how you feel that counts", forget Sai's "you're gentle with Naruto, aren't you?" It means nothing.

Just like how the NH fandom kept denying Sakura was like Kushina, all the way until Minato had to confirm it himself.

It was obvious that Kakashi interpreted Sakura's words acting as the author's mediator. Sakura had no chance to speak for herself because Sasuke was being a gentleman to cast a genjustsu. Don't people these days have literature classes where they are taught how to analyse text?

Sometimes I don't think people understand that when a writer gives a character a moment of clarity it's not going to be some crystal clear cut epiphany and everything is alright. Depending on the situation, like with Sakura's their epiphany will hurt and appear heartbreaking. There were three  characters who had yet to get over their greatest obstacles in this manga to achieve their closure and that obstacle was always Sasuke. I personally believe that now there are only two.

Someone were saying about Sasuke saying "Thank you" after Sakura confessed,  in japanese "Thank you" is a way to politely reject someone, it is used in many mangas/animes :)

Oh no, I agree. Kakashi's words did give off the impression of it being platonic. My point is that there's just so many different translations and different interpretations you can get from that one scene that it can't be definitely decided what it meant by some people. And because of that, we have people who think NS is dead or one-sided and will not be comforted on it unless they hear it from Sakura herself.

 

You can't help people like that. They just need absolutely solid information.
