Except it's not. Really? Tell me who it is that is Nami's emotional anchor? Or the one that she always reaches out to first? Or when she talks about the crew, it's never "my friends" it's always "Luffy and the crew". His behavior on PH, once again, says otherwise.

No, it's not. Not everyone does that. For Nami, it's always Luffy and the crew. No one else makes the distinction. And I'm pretty sure I'm reading the same manga as you. You might have forgotten, but the only person Nami goes to is Luffy. Luffy is her emotional anchor. Each scene when Luffy gives her the hat is an example of it. Nami even had a monologue where she explicitly stated she wish she had Luffy's strength/courage. Sanji has never comforted her as Luffy has, it's asinine to even suggest that. I don't have to be reading a romance to see that.

Sanji literally has nothing on Luffy in that regard.

I didn't use it as a source, the source is the manga. Im glad your only argument was against the credibility of a single, valid statement providing commentary on an obvious, general pattern found throughout the duration of the manga

I've always maintained that the people that care about/respect him the most are Zoro, Nami, and Jinbe in that order followed by the rest of the crew, with Usopp at the end of the list. Zoro and Nami are almost interchangeable though. Way to try to change the narrative though.

Has she been stabbed through the stomach for Luffy's sake or something? If not, then I see no sign of love coming out of her for him. She is very caring, so why wouldn't she care for Luffy like she does for Vivi?

No, the source was the manga. I stated that before I even pulled an excerpt from the wiki.

HA. Right. Jinbe doesn't care at all. Jinbe took a magma fist to the chest, almost sacrificing his life for Luffy on a whim, not because he cares or respects Luffy. He broke his home's customs and gave Luffy blood on a whim as well, he clearly doesn't respect of care for Luffy a lot. Get outta here with that.

When has Nami shown care for Luffy? Is that even a question? Maybe when, idk, she broke down after finding out Ace had died and wanted to rush back to him because she feared "his broken heart"? When has she sacrificed for him? Maybe against Buggy when she held a burning fuse in her hand to try to save him? Maybe when she risked significant injury against Kuro's pirates to try to wake him up? Maybe when she wanted to fight Arlong and his crew with Luffy so that he wasn't alone doing it? Maybe when she stood up for herself against Enel knowing she would die, but did so anyway because of Luffy? Maybe in strong world when she accepted Shiki's deal in order to save them? Or when she poisoned herself to blow up the compound because of them? Maybe when she devoted herself for two years on Weatheria for Luffy, like everyone else? Oh wait here's one: maybe when she risked her life every day and became a major wanted criminal sailing the most dangerous sea in the world in order to navigate her captain to his dream.

Let's not overlook this stuff. She's done more for Luffy than she has for anyone else.

Because Sanji deserves something or someone in the end for all his extreme kindness to females. Can't have such a lady charmer go solo in the end. Would make no since. Someone has to fall for him (not by force). A lot of people got him with Viola. Luffy couldn't give Nami the happiness she deserves because he doesn't have time for a relationship. He told Hancock he's too busy becoming pirate king. Not to mention that the mass majority of shippers in One Piece ship Luffy with Hancock, so if Oda had him pick someone, it would probably be her. I'm admitting that and I want Luffy with Vivi. More than likely no ship other than Zoro x Tashigi happens. Still, if we're debating Nami being in a relationship, I'm taking Sanji over Luffy for her. Plus, hasn't he held her like 3 times in a wedding gown?

 

Well fair enough. I concur, though LuNa is still my expectation. that said, not against any ship here cause the romantic tone is practically non-existent anyway
