now ss fans will use it (itachi's sacrifice) as some excuses to justify sasuke's actions towards sakura... that he really loves her but he wants to sacrifice her for the greater good.

only that's not sacrifice is selfishness... by itachi's own words... he took it all upon himself and failed with sasuke... dun dun!

Like Inu-Yasha and nearly any work of Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, One Pound Gospel, Rin-Ne...), Slam Dunk, Touch and nearly any work of Mitsuru Adachi (H2, Slow Step, Rough...), Rurouni Kenshin, Kimagure Orange Road, Oh! My Goddess, Video Girl Ai, Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba, Love Hina, Tosho Daimos (it is a robot series, but the impossible love of the main characters was a core subplot)... Those are some examples. I can think of more.

Ummm....some of those series are not Shonen. Ah! My Goddess is actually a Seinen, for example.

Hmmm...perhaps a better term to use would be Shonen Genre as to label it more specific because honestly, Shonen is such a broad definition that it could be anything. This especially true when you look  at Shonen Harems which yes of course the main focus is that love and drama. However, Naruto is not apart of the genre of a Harem. It is not even Romantic comedy, but rather a action adventure genre. 

So let's be more specific, for Naruto's Shonen Genre, it contains a lot of drama not seen in most of the others. Take Rurouni Kenshin for example. Yeah there is some love drama, but it is not the same as Naruto and not as prevalent. You don't see Kenshin struggling throughout the entire story to win over Kaori's affection and love. I could even argue there was no real drama like that at all.

The point was to be made that for something that is not a harem or a romantic drama, there sure is a lot of it compared to others where the relationship drama is very minor to the point of almost non-existent.

It sucks that people are saying that Naruto will be a rebound if he ended up with Sakura. Tbh I can't even debate with them because I kinda agree :x

Wouldn't Sasuke & Sakura have had to be in a relationship for him to be considered a rebound? Sasuke has no interest in her, and they've never had anything close to love coming from both sides, so I don't really see Naruto as a rebound.

And, by that logic, wouldn't Hinata be the rebound if she ended up with Naruto? That's my question. If they have no problem with Hinata being the rebound, why should they have a problem with this?

Hmmm you know I mentioned this up a couple days ago regarding Sakura's confusion when it comes to romance love. Let's say it's a writer's technique of having characters confused about their true feelings until the right moment.  A good book series I know that had something similar to this was Percy Jackson and The Olympians. In those books you can tell that Annebeth (main female) who had feelings for Luke (who like Sasuke) became rogue, and she slowly started developing feelings for Percy. However she still had some lingering feelings towards him up until the end of the series where Annebeth realizes her feelings for Percy and they become a couple. It's an interesting technique that Rick incoporated into the story, and based on this I believe Kishi is using this same technique for Sakura's character. That in it of itself will allow her to resolve her feelings and realize it's Naruto she's in love with.

Yeah they need to be together for Naruto to be a rebound which I really don't see at all.

Funny how you should say that because a SS/NH on Youtube I was talking to yesterday used that excuse on me saying that Sasuke really loves Sakura its just that he's hiding his feelings for her and I'm like yeah right gtfo with that BS.

Sakura and Naruto's rapport absolutely overwhelms the pitiful ghost of a "romantic" relatioship she had with Sasuke. In my opinion, the way they casually touch each other already speaks volumes (including Sakura beating Naruto... lol)! Naruto got a lot more from Sakura simply because he was willing to accept and she was happy to give. People who are not aware of Naruto and Sakura's status may assume that those two are a couple because of the way they act around each other.

There was no panel or chapter that shows Sasuke's "hidden feelings" for Sakura.

1. Wouldn't Hinata always be insecure about Sakura & Naruto?????
2. Wouldn't Naruto always be insecure about one question ....ie. "Did I made a right decision to leave Sakura to his hands (is she really happy?)?
3. Wouldn't there be very less understanding between Naruto & Hinata?
4. Acc. to the new movie char design of Sasuke, he doesn't seem to be completely good ....also his quote too ...gives this impresssion ....so ...would Sasu & Saku be happy???

They believe Naruto never truly loved Sakura. They say it was just a silly crush and that Naruto moved on from his 'silly crush' after witnessing Sakura hug Sasuke in part 1 hospital scene. 

 

Their theory is something like this-

 

Sakura is still deeply in love with Sasuke. So if NS happens, Naruto is the second choice.

Naruto never loved Sakura and has gotten over his childish crush long time ago. So Hinata won't be the second choice.

I think the reason why they say that is because its getting in their way of their ship and they just want things to go their way instead of the author's way they don't care about no war or anything they just want XYZ to happen.

That's Illogical....not everyone gets their love
