But something about the idea of Lois being inferior to WW in regards to Superman because she's a "normal human" bothers me...
I don't think the comics are really trying to say that. I mean, look at Batman's love affair. He has dated so many female villains, heroes. and the like yet everyone finds this okay or acceptable. Meanwhile, if Superman even thinks of someone else people get mad. So Batman is okay to be a playboy, but Superman is not?
Funny though, but Superman and Wonder Woman is not a new concept and has been around since the silver age of DC comics. People keep saying "Batman and Wonder Woman," but that coupling only existed in the cartoons, not the comics. People have their own taste, but I wish people stop saying things like "Lois Lane humanizes Superman." Not, it was Johnathen and Martha Kent who humanized him and gave him the moral he grew up with. Lois Lane may have loved Superman, but she never really humanized him and in some instances she was nothing more than a girl he fell in love with.
I can also say that Superman and Wonder Woman can work because with both of them being Super heroes and facing dangers together they can build a connection on that and there are some amazing scenes with them together. I think one of my favorite moments is when Diana was injured and well not sure she was dying, but Superman was injured by a nuclear explosion that some how over saturated his cells and made absorbing sunlight hurt him. Despite his own pain and near death, Superman flew Wonder Woman to Mascara to get her healed despite it. So they have great moments that mean a lot.
So to me, it all depends on the writer.
People don't have to like SS and WW, but it is not a bad thing to have them together if given the right stuff like this

My problem with it is two folds. First and foremost Lois Lane is based on the woman who Jerry Siegel eventually married. Hell had Jerry had his way Superman and Lois Lane would have been together back in the early 40s with The K-Metal From Krypton. For me if nothing else they shouldn't be split up for that very reason. DC Comics screwed over Siegel enough as it is.
Second honestly a lot of fans of SM/WW pissed me off when it was first announced. People who says things like "WW has the body look at those kittens why wouldn't Superman tap that?" (A debate I had once basically amounted to "WW can handle Superman's big D look at that ass!!! Lois isn't half the woman WW is! Lois is what a C cup at most? Superman wouldn't waste his time with that!") The beta males who follow that ship piss me off. Now I'm sure there are people who support SM/WW who aren't dirt bags, but it's hard to ignore certain fans when you've had these debates in the past. For awhile SM/WW was not represented well, and for me really was an example of what is wrong with modern comics. So tired of seeing 40 year old men drooling over pictures of a woman who is suppose to be a symbol of empowerment... but instead is just used as a sex object for their fantasies. Again I know not every SM/WW fan is like that, but frankly some members of that fandom ruined that ship for me long ago.
I'm not really a fan of comics right now though. Only DC comic I still look into is Fables, which is coming to a close. Besides that the only western comic I keep up with now is The Walking Dead.
Still if nothing else there are different universes for DC and Marvel characters, so you have some options in that regard. With Naruto we have nothing now but what we as fans make. We've been kicked out of the fandom, and honestly Kishimoto can go to hell for that.
Again, this just proves it is not the comics....but rather it is the fanbases who ruin it.
-sigh- which is sad because SS and WW do have amazing scenes that really show true love.
